Categories     Appetizer

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 5

8 slices bacon (halved crosswise (see recipe note))
16 large shrimp (peeled except for the tail and deveined)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt (or 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425˚F.
  • Arrange bacon slices, leaving space around each, on oven safe rack placed inside a baking sheet. Bake 5 to 10 minutes depending on the thickness of your bacon. It should still be pliable when you remove it from the oven.
  • Meanwhile, place shrimp in a medium bowl. Add olive oil, salt and pepper; toss to coat.
  • When partially cooked bacon slices are cool enough to handle (about 5 minutes after you remove from oven), wrap each slice of bacon around one raw shrimp, securing with a toothpick; return to oven safe rack. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
  • Bake 10 minutes more until shrimp are pink and bacon is cooked through. Serve.

BACON WRAPPED BUFFALO SHRIMP

Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Shrimp image

Your new favorite party snack is Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Shrimp. This appetizer is perfect for any occasion and super simple to make!

Provided by Karlee Flores

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 1

24 jumbo shrimp, deveined and shelled 12 thin slices of bacon 1/2 cup butter 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup hot sauce 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Place the deveined and shelled shrimp in a bowl and set aside. Cut the bacon slices in half crosswise and set aside. You might need to cut the fat off the larger bacon strips so it's easier to wrap around the shrimp.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a small saucepan on medium-low, melt the butter slowly until just liquid. Add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, and paprika to the melted butter. Whisk to combine.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on top.
  • Pour half of the buffalo sauce in the bowl with the shrimp and toss together. Take a half slice of bacon and wrap around the meaty part around the shrimp and place on the rack. Continue until all the shrimp are wrapped.
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Before removing from the oven, turn the broiler onto high and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bacon start to crisp. If you don't have a broiler you can skip this step.
  • Remove the shrimp from the oven and give a final brushing with the leftover buffalo sauce.
  • Serve alone or with creamy blue cheese dressing.
