BACON SWIZZLE STICKS!

Bacon Swizzle Sticks! image

Found this on "Punchfork" and thought it was a great idea for Bloody Marys! Who doesn't love Bacon? And when inserted in the Bloody Mary, it makes for a great snack!

Number Of Ingredients 1

8 - strips of thick cut bacon

Steps:

  • Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Pierce the top of the bacon strip with a skewer, wind the bacon around the skewer, and then pierce the bottom of the strip with the other end of the skewer to hold it in place.
  • Put completed skewers on parchment-lined baking sheet, place in oven, and bake for 10 minutes. Carefully flip using tongs. Let cook until the bacon reaches desired crispiness 5 to 10 minutes longer.
  • Remove baking sheet from oven, and transfer the skewers on to paper towels once they are cool enough to touch. Blot excess oil with fresh paper towels, then carefully remove skewers.

PANCAKE-DIPPED BACON STICKS

Pancake-Dipped Bacon Sticks image

My friend made these pancake-dipped bacon 'sticks' for a brunch many years ago. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or dip in maple syrup.

1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 pound bacon
