Cheesy Bacon Bread image

An easy cheesy bacon bread appetizer for a big crowd. With creamy butter, cheddar cheese, bacon pieces and green onions!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 baguette
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup bacon bits
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
2 green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Cut the baguette crosswise into 1″ slices without cutting through to the the bottom.
  • Combine butter, bacon, cheese and green onions and mix well.
  • Spread the butter mixture on each slice.
  • Wrap the baguette in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
  • Dish and serve hot.
  • Enjoy!

Frozen bread dough is thawed and topped with cheese and bacon to make this hearty bread.

1 (1-pound) loaf frozen white bread dough , thawed according to package directions
2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter melted
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, if desired
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
5 slices (1/3 cup) crisply cooked bacon, * crumbled
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Press dough into greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan or into 15x10x1-inch rectangle on greased baking sheet.
  • Combine melted butter, onion salt and liquid smoke in bowl. Brush evenly over dough. Cover; let rise in warm place 45-60 minutes or until double in size.
  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Prick dough carefully all over with fork. Sprinkle cheese and bacon evenly over dough. Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges of dough are golden brown and cheese begins to brown. Sprinkle with parsley. Cool 10 minutes. Cut into serving pieces; serve warm.

Here's what you need: bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, flaky biscuit dough, butter, garlic, italian seasoning, parsley

7 strips bacon
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
10 oz flaky biscuit dough, 3 cans
1 ¼ cups butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons italian seasoning
parsley, minced, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Crisp bacon over medium heat. Allow it to cool, then crumble.
  • Generously grease a large bundt pan with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, mix both kinds of cheese.
  • Cut each biscuit into four pieces. Flatten each piece in the palm of your hand and add a pinch of the mixed cheeses and crumbled bacon. Gather the edges and pinch the biscuit into a ball.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic.
  • Drop the biscuit pieces in the butter mixture and place in the bundt pan.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden-brown. (Be careful - the butter may begin to smoke toward the end of the bake time. If it begins to smoke, remove from the oven.)
  • Let stand for five minutes, then place a heatproof plate on top of the pan. Using a pot holder, flip the pan and plate over and invert onto your serving plate. Be careful as the pan will still be hot.
  • Sprinkle with parsley.
  • Enjoy!

20 Frozen Rhodes Rolls
¾ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup bacon bits (divided)
6 green onions (diced)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Thaw rolls slightly, but don't let them rise yet.
  • Cut each roll into quarters. Place half the rolls in the bottom of the baking dish, and sprinkle 1/4 cup of bacon bits on top of the rolls. Place the remaining rolls on top.
  • Let the rolls rise and double in size.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the bacon, cheese and green onions on top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 23 to 28 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares.
