4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, pounded thin
8 slices bacon
1 small red onion, sliced
4 slices pumpernickel bread, toasted
4 teaspoons steak sauce, 4 oz
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon; drain on paper towels. Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings in skillet.
  • Add onion; cook and stir 2 to 4 minutes or until tender. Remove onion from skillet.
  • Add chicken to skillet; cook 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until browned and no longer pink.
  • Place toasted bread slices on cookie sheet; spread each slice with 1 teaspoon steak sauce. Top with chicken, bacon slices, onion and cheese.
  • Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

This is a yummy sandwich to make on a cold day or just for when you are in the mood for something cheesy with bacon.

2 slices bacon
2 slices bread
1/4-1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
lettuce
tomatoes
pickle
onion

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to broil at 425°F.
  • Heat a frying pan on the stove.
  • Fry bacon strips until they are the desired doneness.
  • Set aside bacon to cool and drain. place bread on a cookie sheet and broil for about 3 minutes until bread is lightly toasted.
  • Turn bread slices over (use a tong) and sprinkle shredded cheese on top in a nice thick layer and broil for about 3 minutes until the cheese is nice and melted.
  • Take the bread out of the oven and let cool for about 2 minutes.
  • Next layer a slice of tomato, onion, pickle and lettuce on one side and place bacon on.
  • You may want to add a little low fat mayo or mustard.
  • Put together and enjoy!

  • 1. Place 1 chicken breast half, boned side up, between 2 pieces of plastic wrap or waxed paper. Working from center, gently pound chicken with flat side of meat mallet or rolling pin until about 1/4 inch thick remove wrap. Repeat with remaining chicken breast halves.2. In large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet drain on paper towels. Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings in skillet.3. Add onion to drippings cook and stir 2 to 4 minutes or until tender. Remove onion from skillet. Add chicken to skillet cook 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear.4. Place toasted bread slices on ungreased cookie sheet spread each slice with 1 teaspoon steak sauce. Top each with chicken, bacon slices, onion and cheese. 4 bacon strips, chopped
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (6 ounces each)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2/3 cup barbecue sauce, divided
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Thinly sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp, stirring occasionally. Using a slotted spoon, remove bacon to paper towels; reserve drippings., Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. In same pan, brown chicken in drippings over medium heat, 3-4 minutes per side. Brush with 1/3 cup barbecue sauce. Transfer to oven; bake 8 minutes., Spoon remaining sauce over chicken; sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Bake until cheese is melted and a thermometer reads 165°, 4-6 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions.

Steps:

  • Wrap the bacon around the chicken breast and put on a tray in the oven (190 degrees) until chicken is cooked. (Around 20-30 mins)
  • When cooked transfer into a small, deep dish - a bowl will do. Squirt the BBQ sauce all over the chicken then top with loads of grated cheese!!
  • Put back into the oven for 5 mins or untill cheese is melted and the bbq sauce is hot!
  • Eat and enjoy, goes well with potatoe wedges and brocolli!!
