MANGALOREAN BEEF AND BACON GRAVY RECIPE
Steps:
- Combine meat, ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper, vinegar, and 2 teaspoons salt.
- Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons oil in pressure cooker on medium high heat until shimmering. Add cloves and cinnamon and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the marinated beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned, about 5 minutes Add 1 cup water and close pressure cooker. Cook over high pressure for 45 minutes, then release pressure and allow steam to escape. Transfer beef and juices to a large bowl.
- Wipe out pressure cooker, add remaining oil, and return to medium-high heat until shimmering. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add green chiles and stir until fragrant-about 2 minutes. Add red chile and turmeric powder and stir vigorously, so as not to burn the spices and cook for 1 minute. If they tend to stick or discolor add a few drops of water. Add the bacon and stir until the bacon begins to render, about 5 minutes. Add the tomato puree and cook, stirring, until the oil is fragrant and separates from the mixture, about 5 minutes. Add water, bring to a simmer, and cook for 10 minutes. Return the beef and its juices to the pot and allow the whole dish to cook for another 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt if necessary, and serve with bread or rice.

BACON AND BEEF GRAVY
I made a german dish years ago. The only thing I really thought was outstanding was the gravy. I had to change a few ingredients to make it work. I think most of the flavor was coming from the meat mixture and the long cooking time. This is the end result. Please try it, you won't be disappointed. It has a nice strong, smooth flavor.

Steps:
- Prepare gravy by cooking bacon in a sauce pan until partially done.
- Add onions and saute for 5 miuntes.
- Pour in the Beef Consumne'.
- Bring to a boil.
- Mix water and corn starch together.
- Add corn starch mixture to sauce pan.
- Cook till mixture has thicken.
- Lower heat.
- Add mustard, salt and pepper to taste; stir in catsup.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, or noodles.

- Cook bacon in 12 inch non stick skillet over medium heat,stirring occasionally, until brown and crisp; remove from skillet with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Reserve bacon fat in skillet.
- If beef roast comes in netting or is tied, do not remove. Sprinkle beef wth garlic pepper. Cook beef in bacon fat in skillet over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes, turning occasionally, until brown on both sides.
- Spray 4 to 5 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place beef in cooker. Top with bacon and carrots. Mix green chiles, broth, chili sauce and flour in small bowl; pour over mixture in cooker.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting 10 to 12 hours.
- Place beef on platter; remove netting or strings. Stir gravy in cooker; serve with beef.

One day DH wanted biscuits and gravy, but I didn't have sausage, only bacon. So, I found a recipe online and went for it. Thus, bacon gravy was born!

Steps:
- Preheat a large skillet to medium-hi. Place 6 slices of bacon in the skillet and cook until just under crispy.
- Remove bacon from skillet and drain; set aside. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease.
- Add flour to grease, and whisk together. Cook for about a minute without burning the flour.
- Add milk; whisk together.
- Heat until bubbling. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, until sauce starts to thicken.
- Meanwhile, crumble bacon. Add salt and pepper (to taste), and bacon to gravy. Allow to simmer until desired consistency.
- Serve over biscuits.

- Cook bacon in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove from heat.
- Using your hands, combine bacon, beef, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped green onions, parsley, Worcestershire sauce and half the barbecue sauce; mix well. Shape mixture into eight rissoles (small patties.).
- Heat oil in the non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook rissoles until browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove from pan, cover to keep warm.
