- Rose Water Astringent: Rose water acts as a natural astringent that helps to cleanse the skin pores and gently tone your skin. It also reduces the redness and blotchiness on the skin.
- Apple Cider Vinegar Astringent: We all know that raw, organic and unfiltered apple cider vinegar (ACV) is an astringent that helps to shrink the pores, absorbs excess oil from the skin and thus even out the complexion.
- Witch Hazel Astringent: Witch hazel is a popular natural astringent due to its high concentrations of tannins that help to remove redness, inflammation, excess oil, and prevent the bacterial infections like acne or blemishes.
- Lemon Astringent: Lemon has L-ascorbic acid that makes it act as natural astringent, which helps to shrink and constrict the skin pores. It reduces the excess oil, redness, and brightens your skin to get an even skin tone.
- Chamomile Astringent: Chamomile acts as an effective astringent that helps to constrict the skin pores, removes dirt, controls oil secretion and tightens the skin.

- Refreshing Astringent. This product is wonderful to use chilled in the warmer months. It has a cooling, fresh fragrance and can also be used as an aftershave on the face or applied to the legs, underarms, or bikini line (as tolerated; it will sting a bit) after shaving to prevent ingrown hairs.
- Lemon Refresher. The tart, lemony aroma of this astringent is refreshing and stimulating. Try chilling it to use on a hot summer day. Avoid using it on sensitive, dehydrated, environmentally damaged, sunburned, windburned, or irritated skin.
- Grease-Be-Gone Parsley and Peppermint Astringent. This strong, green herbal infusion makes a gentle yet powerful astringent to use on those days when your skin feels particularly hot and greasy.
- Balance Restorer. When your skin maintains the correct pH, it has a much better chance of fighting off dryness and infections. The vinegar in this astringent helps combat the alkaline residue that soap and other cleansers can leave behind, helping to balance your skin’s pH and soften the skin.
- Acne-Soothing Astringent. This remedial astringent is particularly soothing for active, weeping acne, but it is also effective for oily, combination, and normal skin suffering from excessive oiliness and breakouts.
- Deep-Cleansing Astringent. This astringent is actually an herbal tincture, or alcohol extract, for topical application. It is one of my more potent formulations for thoroughly removing excess oil and perspiration without over-drying the skin.
- Spicy Aftershave Tonic. This aftershave tonic smells delightfully spicy. When strained, it can also be used as a scented hair rinse or scalp cleanser for oily or normal hair.
- Tranquility Toner. This is a very gentle toner suitable for most skin types and anyone who loves the subtly sweet, relaxing aroma of lavender. Yield: 1 cup.
- Moisture Infusion Tonic. Comfrey and marshmallow roots produce a soothing mucilage that has wonderful comforting and hydrating properties for all skin types, including the tender skin of infants and the elderly.
- Delicate Elder Flower Toner. This calming tonic is so gentle that it can even be used on infants. It is wonderful for soothing diaper rash, eczema, and dermatitis.
