Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) pie shell
¼ cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups applesauce
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
In a medium mixing bowl combine butter or margarine, sugar, and eggs. Beat until smooth. Add applesauce and vanilla. Mix thoroughly.
Pour custard mixture into pie shell. Sprinkle top lightly with cinnamon.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until set in center.

1 cup applesauce
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons lemon juice (unless the applesauce is tart)
1 9 inch pie shell

Steps:

Mix all of the ingredients.
Pour into a 9" pie shell and bake in a 350 degree oven or 45 minutes.
