Easy Four-Layer Chocolate Dessert image

Out of all the easy chocolate desserts I make, these nutty, chocolaty layered treats have become my family's favorite. I make sure to whip up my mom her very own batch, since she loves this chocolate delight so much! -Kristen Stecklein, Waukesha, Wisconsin

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cold butter
1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted, divided
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 cartons (8 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
2-1/2 cups 2% milk
2 packages (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
Chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Place flour in a small bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup walnuts. Press onto bottom of an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake until light golden brown, 12-15 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack., In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth; fold in 1 carton whipped topping. Spread over crust. In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Gently spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle with chocolate chunks and remaining walnuts. Refrigerate until cold., Cut into bars. Just before serving, drizzle with chocolate syrup.

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup pecans
1 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
5 ounces Cool Whip
1 (6 ounce) box Jell-O chocolate pudding and pie filling
3 cups milk
7 ounces Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Mix first thee ingredients.
  • Add fine chopped pecans.
  • press into 9x13 pan.
  • Bake shell at 350 for 15 min.
  • Soften cheese, then blend in sugar and Cool whip.
  • Spread over cooled crust.
  • Make pudding as directed.
  • I like cooked pudding best but you can use instant.
  • You can also use 2 small packages.
  • And any other flavor you like.
  • Spread on top.
  • You can sprinkle chopped pecans or chocolate ants on top.
  • Refrigerate.

1 C. All-purpose flour
1 C. Finely chopped pecans
¼ C. Granulated sugar
½ C. Butter melted
8 oz. Cream cheese softened
5 oz. Cool Whip defrosted
1 C. Powdered sugar
6 oz. Package of instant chocolate pudding mix
3 C. Milk
7 oz. Cool whip defrosted
Chopped pecans for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients or layer one until completely combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a well greased 9x13 baking dish, and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Allow the crust mixture to cool.
  • Mix together the ingredients for layer 2 until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the mixture over the cooled crust.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the ingredients for layer 3. Spread the pudding mixture over the top of layer two in the baking dish.
  • Spread the cool whip from layer four over the top of the mixture in the baking dish, and garnish with chopped pecans.
  • Chill for several hours before serving.

first layer:
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 c chopped nuts
3 Tbsp sugar
second layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c powdered sugar
8 oz cool whip
third layer:
2 box instant chocolate pudding, small
3 c milk
fourth layer:
8 oz cool whip
chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix and spread first layer in a 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • 2. Mix and spread second layer over baked first layer.
  • 3. Mix third layer well and spread over second layer.
  • 4. Top with Cool Whip, and chopped nuts (optional). Refrigerate several hours before serving.

½ cup margarine
1 ¼ cups confectioners' sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 ⅛ cups chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant butterscotch pudding mix
3 cups milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, cream together margarine with 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar. Mix in flour and 1 cup pecans. Press into prepared dish.
  • Bake in preheated oven 15 minutes, until very lightly browned. Cool completely.
  • In a bowl, cream together cream cheese with remaining 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Fold in half the whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust.
  • Stir together pudding mix and milk and allow to set up slightly. Spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with remaining nuts. Keep refrigerated.

2 pkg. (1.4 oz. each) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding
3 cups cold fat-free milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Mix flour, nuts and margarine; press onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Bake 15 min. or until lightly browned. Cool.
  • Beat neufchatel cheese and sugar with mixer until well blended. Stir in 1 cup COOL WHIP; spread over crust.
  • Beat pudding mixes and milk with whisk 2 min.; spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining COOL WHIP. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant coconut cream pudding mix
2 cups milk
3 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
½ cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees F). In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, 1/2 cup pecans and melted butter or margarine. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, then chill until cold.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Stir in the whipped topping. Drop spoonfuls onto the chilled crust, and spread evenly. Return to the refrigerator while you prepare the next layer.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the pudding mixes and milk. Yes this is half as much milk as the package states. Spread over the cream cheese layer. Chill until set.

Second Layer:
1 pkg cream cheese

1 small pkg vanilla instant pudding mix

Fourth Layer:

  • With wire whisk, mix pudding mixes and milk (2 minutes). Spread on top of #2 layer.
  • Spread Cool Whip on top. Grate chocolate bar over top of Cool Whip. Sprinkle pecan pieces on top.

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese

5 cups cold milk

Steps:

  • Cut the butter into the flour to form crumbs, then add the pecans
  • Press mixture into a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Bake at 375 degress for 15 minutes and set aside to cool.
  • On medium speed, beat the cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar until creamy.
  • Change speed on mixer to low, and mix in 2 cups of the Cool Whip.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled crust.
  • Mix the pudding mix with the milk for 2 minutes.
  • Pour over cream cheese layer.
  • Spread remaining cup of Cool Whip over the top, being sure to spread to the edges to seal.
