LIGHT AND EASY BOW TIE PASTA SALAD RECIPE
A light, refreshing and easy pasta salad, perfect for summer picnics and outings. This lemon basil pasta salad recipe is always a crowd pleaser!

Steps:
- In a large pot of boiling water, prepare pasta until al dente.
- In a small mixing bowl or jar whisk or shake lemon juice, olive oil, mustard and minced garlic until well combined.
- Drain bow tie pasta and rinse with cold water to shock the noodles.
- In a large serving bowl, toss drained pasta with dressing, feta, cherry tomatoes and basil.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate until serving (recommend 2+ hours to allow the pasta salad dressing to marinate the bowtie pasta).

TUXEDO BOW-TIE PASTA SALAD FOR PICNICS AND POTLUCKS
The perfect pasta salad for picnics, potlucks and gatherings. I've made this without the mayo, using the artichoke marinade in it's place, and it was equally fabulous and well received! Best served well chilled.

Steps:
- In a large bowl stir together the mayonnaise, olives, artichoke hearts, peppers, broccoli florets, celery, cucumber, and tomatoes. Now is the time to add the pepperoni or salami and cheese, if using.
- Add the cooked and drained pasta; mix thoroughly.
- Stir in the reserved artichoke marinade, a spoonful at a time, to the desired consistency.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with snipped fresh herbs (parsley and chives).
- Cover and thoroughly chill (several hours or overnight) before serving.

My aunt and mom created this recipe. It is a family favorite and a great item to bring to picnics and potlucks.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the bow-tie pasta at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes; drain.
- Quickly rinse the cooked pasta in cold water to stop it from continuing to cook; drain.
- Mix the cooled pasta, broccoli, tomatoes, sliced green onions, celery, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper in a large bowl.
- Gently stir the salad dressing, Parmesan cheese, sugar, basil, and salt in a bowl until evenly mixed.
- Pour the salad dressing mixture over the pasta mixture; gently toss to coat evenly.
- Refrigerate 3 hours to overnight before serving.
