TURKEY SPAGHETTI PIE
This turkey-based entree is a tasty change from traditional spaghetti. Its saucy goodness really comes through when it's reheated on nights my husband and two active schoolboys need to eat in shifts. -Anita Cunningham of Blaine, Washington

Steps:
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain well and cool to room temperature. In a bowl, combine the spaghetti, Parmesan cheese and egg substitute. Transfer to a 9-in. pie plate coated with cooking spray and form into a crust; set aside., In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook turkey, onion and green pepper until turkey is no longer pink; drain. Add spaghetti sauce; heat through. Spread cottage cheese over crust; top with turkey mixture., Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.

Steps:
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain. In a small bowl, combine the egg, Parmesan cheese and spaghetti. Press spaghetti mixture onto the bottom and up sides of a greased shallow 2-cup baking dish or 7-in. pie plate. Spread with sour cream., Crumble turkey into a skillet; add the pepper, onion and butter. Cook over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce, garlic salt, oregano, salt and pepper. Spoon into spaghetti crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Cover edges loosely with foil. , Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Serve immediately.

TURKEY SPAGHETTI
Steps:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the olive oil, garlic and onion. Cook until translucent, about 2 minutes. Add the turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until cooked through, about 8 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste, stirring to combine. Add the sugar, dried basil, oregano, parsley, cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper and stir to combine. Add the bay leaves and 1/2 cup water. Stir well and simmer to infuse the flavors, about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile cook the spaghetti in the boiling water according to the package instructions. Drain well.
- Transfer the spaghetti to a platter and ladle the sauce on top. Top with the grated Parmesan and fresh basil leaves.
TURKEY SPAGHETTI PIE RECIPE

- 1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce, basil, fennel seed and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20-30 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package directions; drain. In a bowl, combine the spaghetti, egg substitute, margarine, Parmesan cheese and parsley flakes. Form a crust in a 9-in. pie plate coated with cooking spray. 3. Stir 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese into the turkey mixture; spoon into spaghetti crust. Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
SPAGHETTI & TURKEY PIE
My husband and I really liked this and it was really easy to prepare. You can use eggs instead of substitute or regular cottage cheese,I used what the recipe called for because it's lower in fat & cholesterol.

Steps:
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
- Drain spaghetti and rinse with cold water and drain good.
- For spaghetti crust,in small bowl combine 1/4 cup egg substitute,cottage cheese & margarine (I used smart balance lite) & parmesan cheese,add the spaghetti and toss to coat.
- Put spaghetti mixture in 9x13 pan,greased.
- In small bowl combine 1/4 cup egg substitute,cottage cheese & pepper.
- spread over spaghetti crust and set aside.
- In large skillet cook turkey, mushrooms, onion, green pepper & Italian seasoning until meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain fat and stir in spaghetti sauce.
- Cook until heated through.
- Spoon meat mixture over cottage cheese.
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes and bubbly.
