TURKEY POTLUCK CASSEROLE
Just that...great for potlucks, or just for a dinner..this is a wonderful tasting casserole that can be made with left-over cooked chicken if desired instead of turkey (prep time includes cooking the rice)

Steps:
- Set oven to 350 degrees /Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. Combine 2 tbsp melted butter with paprika and add the crushed Rice Krispies; mix and set aside. /Melt 3 tbsp butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. /Whisk in flour, garlic powder (if using) and black pepper and thyme (if using); gradually add half and half cream, whisking constantly until smooth. /Raise heat to medium; cook until bubbly and thickened, stirring constantly Add in shredded cheese and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. /Remove from heat; stir in rice, parsley, chopped turkey and peas. /Pour into prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle cereal mix evenly over top. /Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until thoroughly heated and bubbly.

People usually ask me to bring this tempting casserole whenever I'm invited to attend a potluck. The turkey, ham and cheese are delectable combined with the crunchy topping. - In a large bowl, combine the turkey, ham and cheese; set aside. In a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Add flour; stir until blended. Gradually add cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in the dill, mustard and nutmeg. Remove from the heat and pour over meat mixture. , Spoon into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, butter and dill. Stir in cheese and walnuts. Sprinkle over casserole. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through.

POTLUCK CASSEROLE
This recipe is from the early 1960's and is among the first comfort foods which I prepared as a young inexperienced cook. Cooked green beans may be substituted for the corn. I do not remember where I found the recipe. At that time, I was very proud of preparing such a tasteful dish. I have not used the recipe for several decades. I am posting in Zaar in order to prevent losing it.

Steps:
- In a saucepan brown beef and cook onion until tender.
- Pour off fat.
- Stir in 3/4 cup of the cheese and all other remaining ingredients.
- Spoon into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

- In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook and stir 4-5 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat; stir in 1 teaspoon salt, sage, poultry seasoning and pepper. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, turkey and onion mixture; toss gently to combine. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish., In a small bowl, whisk eggs. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and remaining salt until smooth; gradually whisk in broth and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Gradually whisk broth mixture into eggs; stir in parsley. Pour over turkey mixture. Refrigerate, covered, overnight., Preheat oven to 350°. Remove casserole from refrigerator while oven heats. Bake, covered, 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 15-20 minutes longer or until lightly browned.
