Steps:
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and beat for 2 minutes. Stir in nuts and chips. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. , Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks; cool completely.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixer with a paddle attachment combine all the ingredients except confectioners' sugar and mix until smooth. Roll dough into balls about 1-inch in diameter, place on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart, and bake for 15 to 20. They should just be turning golden brown. Roll in powdered sugar while still hot.

- Grind macadamia nuts with two tablespoons flour in a food processor until it is a coarse flour. Set aside. ( Don't over mix this or else you will have macadamia nut butter and will have to start all over)
- Cream sugar and butter in a bowl of a stand mixer with paddle attachment until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Add lemon zest, vanilla, and egg yolks. Mix again scraping down sides of bowl when needed.
