Number Of Ingredients 2

- fresh, healthy tomato leaves
- water to blend

Steps:

  • Healthy tomato leaves can be juiced and made into a spray to prevent black spot on roses. Just blend and strain, place in spray bottle and spray roses.
  • Tomato leaves are packed with alkaloids, which can be an effective repellant for aphids, corn earworms and Diamondback moths. Go Green Ninja recommends soaking 1 to 2 cups of chopped or mashed tomato leaves in two cups of water overnight, straining it through a fine mesh and adding two more cups of water before spraying it on the plants in your garden. Keep this mixture away from pets, as tomato leaves can be toxic.
  • Tomatoes and Asparagus Make Good Companion Plants Tomatoes contain solanine, an alkaloid that repels asparagus beetles. After the first harvest, plant tomatoes near the asparagus patch. The hungry pests will look for easier pickings elsewhere, leaving healthy ferns to send nutrients to the crowns
