HOMEMADE BEANIE WEENIES

Homemade Beanie Weenies image

My sons loved this dish when they were young and the oldest one still does. It's a quick fix for a busy week night or weekend. What I love about them you can add more beans or franks. You might want to add a little brown sugar or even barbeque sauce, but this is the way I make them everytime.

TEXAS RANCH STYLE "BEENIE WEENIES"

Texas Ranch Style

I used *Just Cher*'s Ranch Bean recipe, as a base for a much loved family favorite, that I wanted to re-create at our base Dining Facility. In the States I could have bought a nice can of Ranch Style beans, and then kicked up--but here...no grocery store. I still had some lovely dried Chipotle Peppers my daughter had sent...so in they went. (I am scaling this back down from the 150 I cooked it for, so I hope it is accurate for home cooks. :) )

Fancy Beanie-Weenies image

A very kid-friendly meal. Basically I took regular ol' "Beanie Weenies" (hot dogs & beans) and added to them to make it a more 'acceptable' dish for the grown-ups in the house. Ha ha!
