1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1 cup Cheerios Toasted Oat Cereal
2 cups Wheat Chex
2 cups Rice Chex
2 cups Corn Chex
1 cup pretzel crisps
1 cup nuts

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Stir melted butter, celery salt, garlic salt, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and Tabasco sauce until well-combined.
  • Place the Cheerios, Chex mixes, pretzels, and nuts in a baking pan in a single layer. Pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir until all pieces are coated.
  • Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let it cool completely and serve. Store in an airtight container.

This is a very chewy bar prepared by one of my co-workers. I think they are delicious and hope you agree!

1 stick(s) butter, no substitution
2 cup(s) brown sugar
3 - eggs
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1 1/2 cup(s) self-rising flour (no substitutions)
1/2 - 3/4 cup(s) chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 350 degree oven. Spray 9 x 13" pan with Pam. Cream together first four ingredients. Add flour and pecans - mix well. Spread in pan and bake for 30 minutes. Do not overbake! Immediately after you take them from the oven, carefully cut into squares and remove from pan. Dust with powdered sugar. These are best right out of the oven. ENJOY!

2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons Karo syrup
2 -3 cups pecans
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 (6 ounce) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients except pecans and vanilla in a 3 quart saucepan and cook 20 minutes after boiling starts -- stirring occasionally.
  • Add pecans and vanilla
  • Remove from heat and stir well.
  • Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
  • Sets up quickly -- work fast.

  • note for the evaporated milk: Pour into a measuring cup and add enough water to equal 1 cup of liquid.

1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups light corn syrup
1 lb butter
2 cups heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 cups pecans

Steps:

  • Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil.
  • Coat with nonstick cooking spray.
  • (I have found that using Release aluminum foil works better).
  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine sugars and corn syrup.
  • Heat to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • Remove from heat, and stir in butter until melted.
  • Gradually stir in cream.
  • Return to heat.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, until temperature reaches 242 degrees F (116 degrees C).
  • Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla and pecans.
  • Drop by spoonful onto prepared pans.
  • Cool completely, then wrap each piece individually with plastic.

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 can (9 ounces) potato sticks (about 6 cups)

Steps:

  • In a large microwave-safe bowl in a microwave or in a large metal bowl over simmering water, melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter; stir until smooth. Gently stir in potato sticks., Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate 10-15 minutes or until set.
