1 package sesame teriyaki
4 cups fresh green beans cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
2 tbsps water

Steps:

  • Place vegetables, Seasoning Mix and water in container. Close lid tightly. Shake until vegetables are evenly coated with seasoning.
  • Loosen lid to vent. Place in microwave.
  • Microwave on HIGH 5 minutes or until tender. Let stand in microwave 2 minutes. Carefully remove cover. Stir before serving.
  • Test Kitchen Tips:•For broccoli florets, microwave on HIGH 2 minutes or until desired texture.•For cauliflower florets, microwave on HIGH 4 minutes or until desired texture. •For cauliflower rice, microwave on HIGH 3 minutes or until desired texture. •For frozen vegetables, microwave according to package directions.•Microwave ovens vary; cooking times may need to be adjusted. Cooking times are based on an 1100 watt microwave oven.•CAUTION: Container will be hot. Use pot holders when removing from microwave. Do not reuse container.

2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
1 small red pepper, cut into strips
1 small onion, cut into strips
1 1/2 lbs fresh green beans or 1 1/2 lbs frozen green beans, trimmed and steamed until tender
1/2 cup coarsely chopped cashews, toasted

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine teriyaki sauce and honey; set aside.
  • In a large saute pan, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add pepper and onion, saute for 5 to 6 minutes, or until tender.
  • Add beans, cashews, and teriyaki-honey mixture; toss gently until heated through.

4 salmon fillets (or a 500g piece to cut up yourself)
100g green beans , ends trimmed
1 lemon , cut into wedges
2 tbsp low-salt soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mirin
1 garlic clove , crushed
noodles or rice, to serve

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. If you have a whole piece of salmon, cut it into four fillets. Place a sheet of baking parchment on a baking tray and lay the salmon diagonally across it.
  • Cook the beans in boiling water for 1 min and drain. Arrange the beans in piles around the salmon and add the lemon wedges to the baking tray. Mix the soy sauce, honey, mirin and garlic, and pour half of it over the beans and salmon.
  • Cook for 15 mins, then pour the rest of the sauce over the salmon. Cook for another 5 mins. Squeeze over the lemon and serve with noodles or rice.

2 medium carrots, cut into bite-sized strips (2 cups)
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (can be toasted)

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan cook beans and carrots in small amount of boiling water for 7-10 minutes (covered with lid).
  • Drain and set veggies aside.
  • Melt butter in pan and stir in cornstarch, adding the teriyaki sauce and water.
  • Return veggies to pan and toss gently.
  • Heat through and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

1-1/2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
2 bacon strips, diced
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 cup sliced sweet red pepper
1 small onion, cut into thin wedges
1/2 cup salted whole cashews
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • Place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 4-6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and immediately place beans in ice water. Drain and pat dry., In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels to drain., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, honey and butter. Saute pepper and onion in drippings until tender. Add the beans, teriyaki mixture, bacon, cashews and lemon juice; heat through.

Steps:

  • Spray frying pan liberally with olive oil spray.
