SMALLER SERVING SIZE 8-10 PEOPLE
1 16oz box elbow macaroni
1 teaspoon olive oil to prevent pasta from sticking
16 oz cheese +1 (8oz for topping cheese examples: Asiago, Sharp Cheddar, Velveta, Pepper Jack)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
One cup half-and-half milk
Season All to taste
Salt to taste
Ground Black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Preparation
  • Bringing water to boil, Add a pinch of salt and olive oil.
  • Boil macaroni until Al Dente, (follow instructional guide on back of box for boiling instructions).
  • Strain macaroni, Rinse with cold water to stop cooking process.
  • Set macaroni inside.
  • In a deepen skillet add butter and flour making a roux. Stirring continuously incorporate both ingredients really well, assuring to eliminate any lumps.
  • Adding half-and-half continue stirring, add cheeses one at a time and stir until everything is incorporated and cheeses are melted.
  • QUICK METHOD (FOLLOW THIS METHOD FOR BEST RESULTS)
  • Add melted cheese sauce directly to macaroni and combine. Stirring until cheese and macaroni becomes incorporated. Add cheesy mac to pan in two batches and top each layer with shredded cheese.
  • Place in oven to bake for about 25 to 30 minutes at 350°F, Or until cheese melts. (For Smaller Serving Size Less Baking Time Is Required, Bake Until Cheese Melts)
  • Remove from oven. And allow too cool for about five minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy!!!

I originally got a simple recipe from my mother and just added a few extras. I like gooey, cheesey food that sticks to your ribs!

1 (16 ounce) box shell pasta
2 tablespoons salt (for boiling water)
6 cups shredded cheese (I like to use 3 different kind,like ( taco blend,monterey,sharp cheddar)
1 pint heavy cream
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon salt
pepper (comfortable amount to you)

Steps:

  • Begin by boiling your pasta in large pot for 10-12 minutes, no longer.
  • Drain and leave pasta in colander for time being.
  • In the pot you are using, over med-med.
  • high heat (not boiling) add your heavy cream,onion powder,1 tbs.
  • salt and pepper (to your preference).
  • Mix and then begin adding your cheese,2 cups at a time.
  • Stir until cheese is completely melted.
  • Once cheese is melted, remove from heat and stir in your pasta until completely coated.
  • Pour into a large buttered casserole dish.
  • Bake in a 350% preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.

400 g macaroni
1 1/2 cups cream
3/4 cup milk
1 1/4 cups grated tasty cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
salt & fresh ground pepper
1/3 cup dried breadcrumbs
1/2 cup extra grated tasty cheese
ground paprika, to serve

Steps:

  • Preheat grill to high
  • Grease a large baking dish.
  • Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water according to packet instructions or until al dente.
  • Drain and keep warm.
  • In the same saucepan, place the cream and milk over medium heat. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat, then stir in the cheeses and add a generous sprinkling of salt and pepper. Stir over medium-low heat until cheese has melted,.
  • Return the pasta to the pan.
  • Toss to coat the pasta in the sauce, then transfer to the greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the pasta with breadcrumbs, extra cheese and a sprinkle of paprika.
  • Place under the hot grill and cook for 2 minutes or until topping is golden and crispy.

This is a family recipe, and an all time favorite of mine. Some people like to substitute cheddar cheese, but I don't like it myself. For me it's American cheese or no Mac & Cheese. The amount of cheese is an estimate, I just grate enough until I think it is cheesy enough. Blocks of American cheese is hard to find for me, so I've used sliced American cheese and have not had a problem. I hope you enjoy!

2 1/2 cups elbow macaroni (to make a smaller batch adjust recipe to 1 cup macaroni)
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups water
5 cups American cheese, grated
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
butter, 1-2 tablespoon
1 egg
1 1/4 cups milk, more milk may be necessary
butter or cooking spray, to coat casserole dish

Steps:

  • Bring water to boil in a sauce pan.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt & macaroni to pan and stir.
  • When water boils again, reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, drain macaroni.
  • Butter or coat a 2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Cover the casserole dish with a layer of macaroni.
  • Add a layer of grated American cheese.
  • Salt and pepper to lightly cover layer, add a small amount of butter.
  • Repeat layering procedure, end with a layer of cheese.
  • Beat one egg, add 1 1/4 cup milk and stir together. Pour egg/milk mixture over macaroni & cheese. If necessary, add enough milk to bring the milk level with 3/4-inch of top of macaroni & cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, uncovered.

This perfect baked macaroni cheese recipe comes with a creamy cheese sauce, a hint of mustard and uses leftover French stick for its crunchy topping

50g baguette, cut into small chunks
2 tbsp butter, plus 1 tbsp melted
350g spiral or other short pasta
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tsp English mustard powder
3 tbsp plain flour
500ml whole milk
250g vegetarian mature cheddar, grated
50g parmesan (or vegetarian alternative), grated

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Spread the baguette chunks over a baking sheet, drizzle with the melted butter and season. Bake for 6 mins until crisp, then set aside.
  • Boil the pasta for 2 mins less than stated on the pack, then drain. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the garlic and English mustard powder, cook for 1 min, then stir in the plain flour.
  • Cook for 1 min more, then gradually whisk in the milk until you have a lump-free sauce. Simmer for 5 mins, whisking all the time until thickened. Take off the heat, then stir in the cheddar and half the parmesan.
  • Stir the pasta and some seasoning into the cheesy sauce. Tip into a large ovenproof dish, or four individual dishes.
  • Scatter over the bread and the remaining parmesan, then bake for 20 mins until crisp and golden. Can be frozen before baking - defrost thoroughly before cooking.
