TAMARIND WHISKEY SOUR
Tamarind will become a kitchen staple, once you try it. This recipe is from December 2013 Bon Appetit. If you like pad Thai, it is a must in a "real" recipe.

Steps:
- Bring sugar to boil, stirring till dissolved. Cool.
- Combine 1.5 oz bourbon, 1 oz lime juice, 1 oz palm sugar syrup and .5 oz tamarind concentrate in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill shaker with ice. Shake until the outside is frosty - about 30 seconds.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and serve with an orange wedge and cherry.
- Enjoy.
- Repeat.

TAMARIND MAPLE WHISKEY SOUR
Tamarind lends a rich flavor, with notes of raisin and dried fruit, to this longtime staple, complemented by the sweetness of the maple whiskey. Tamarind nectar concentrate can be found in the frozen section of most international markets. For a smoky twist, try using smoked maple bourbon whiskey, such as Knob Creek®. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a Luxardo® cherry.

Steps:
- Combine 1 cup of ice, whiskey, tamarind concentrate, and lemon juice in a shaker. Cover and shake until the shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds.
- Fill a rocks glasses with remaining ice and strain cocktail over. Serve immediately.
