Simple enough for the kids to make, this yummy fresh-fruit parfait is always a welcome addition to our dinner table. Substitute fresh peaches or berries for a delicious change! If desired, garnish with a whole strawberry.

Ingredients

1 pkg. (4 serving size) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups fresh strawberries, quartered
2 tablespoons strawberry jam
2 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions, except do not chill.
In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, stir together strawberries, jam, and sugar until jam is melted and the mixture is heated through, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
In each of 4 parfait glasses, layer 1/8 of the pudding and 1/8 of the strawberry sauce. Repeat layers. Chill 45 minutes, or until set, before serving.

2 small boxes instant strawberry pudding (plus milk to prepare)
2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding (plus milk to prepare)
1 box white cake mix (plus eggs, oil, and water)
strawberries, sliced

Steps:

1. Bake cake per package directions. Let cool completely. Cut into small cubes.
2. Prepare puddings per package directions.
3. Beginning and ending with pudding, layer all of the ingredients into a large trifle dish or into individual parfait glasses. Garnish with a strawberry on top.
