This recipe came from my mother. It was originally from an old church or community cookbook. Whenever she brings it to potlucks this is the first thing people ask her to bring.

Ingredients

1 lb grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup chopped pecans
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup strawberry preserves

Steps:

Combine cheese, pecans, mayonnaise, and onion.
Form into a one ball with a well or indentation in center.
Place ball on serving plate and fill center with strawberry preserves.
Serve with assorted crackers.

A dessert cheese ball that I begged a friend for the recipe. Serve with Nilla Wafers, Graham Crackers or whatever your heart desires. Cooking time is refrigerator time.

Ingredients

16 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup real butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 cup graham cracker crumbs

Steps:

Soften cream cheese and butter in a large mixing bowl.
Beat well.
Cream in brown sugar and confectioners' sugar.
Add vanilla extract.
Fold in strawberries.
Refrigerate in a bowl for 3 hours.
Form into a ball, then roll in crushed graham cracker crumbs.

1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 tablespoon diced onion
1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
¼ tablespoon seasoning salt
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

Mix together the cream cheese, pineapple, onion, bell pepper and seasoning salt.
Form into a ball and roll in chopped pecans. Chill and serve with butter crackers.

16 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 cup graham cracker crumbs

Steps:

1. Soften cream cheese and butter. Beat well. Cream in brown sugar and powdered sugar. Add vanilla. Fold in strawberries.
2. Refrigerate in a bowl for 3 hours. Form into a ball, then roll in crushed cracker crumbs.

3 ½ cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (1 ounce) package Ranch-style dressing mix
2 cups chopped pecans
4 pecan halves

Steps:

In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, and dressing mix. Form into one large ball or two smaller balls. Roll in chopped pecans to coat surface. Decorate the top with pecan halves. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

Pour the jar of Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread into a mesh strainer that has been placed over a bowl. Stir a few times until about 2 tablespoons of fine jelly are strained into the bowl. Place the contents of the bowl back in the Smucker’s jar and save for later use.
Blend the remaining Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread with the cheese mixture. When well blended, add jalapeño and parsley.
Place two sections of plastic wrap on the counter. Divide the cheese mixture between the two sections. Wrap the mixture into a ball. Make sure it is completely covered with the plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
