LEPRECHAUN HAT ST. PATRICK'S DAY TREATS FOR KIDS
Make these super easy and festive St. Patrick's Day treats for kids with just a few ingredients and a top hat cookie cutter.

Steps:
- Melt butter and marshmallows together in the microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring often.
- Stir in vanilla
- Mix cereal in one cup at a time
- Press flat onto wax paper in cookie sheet (or spray with non-stick spray)
- Melt green candy in the microwave 30 seconds at a time (stirring). Add shortening if needed to soften
- Pour melted candy over cereal mixture and let cool to harden
- Melt black candy and pour into sandwich bag
- Cut off corner of bag and pipe onto hats to create the band (use a tool or butter knife to spread if needed)
- Add yellow candy buckle to band

St. Patrick's Day Krispie Treats take a fun, childhood classic and make them colorfully festive with lots and lots of marshmallows.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, mix together the Rice Krispie cereal and Lucky charms marshmallows.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the 8 cups of mini marshmallows and salt and stir into the melted butter. Continue stirring over medium heat until the marshmallows are completely melted into the butter.
- Pour the melted butter and marshmallow mixture over the Krispie cereal and Lucky Charms marshmallow mixture and gently stir with a rubber spatula until evenly combined.
- Spread the Krispie mixture into a 9-inch square pan and press gently with the spatula to flatten the top.
- Allow the St. Patrick's Day Krispie Treats to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Steps:
- Line a 13x9x2 baking pan with foil, lighty spray with Pam cooking spray or butter.
- Melt margarine in a large pot on low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir constantly until melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla extract and food coloring stir until smooth.
- Add cereal quickly to the melted marshmallow mixture, stir until well coated.
- Press into the ready greased baking pan with a buttered spatula. Set aside and cool.
- Cut into bars or you can use a shamrock cookie cutter.
- Garnish top with gold wrapped candy coins.

I needed to make a green St. Paddy's Day dessert that everyone would eat... very easy, family favorite! The cooking time listed here is the cooling time. These are best if eaten the same day they're made, but can be made ahead for special occasions.

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and continue to stir until the marshmallows have completely melted. Add the green sprinkles, stir well. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal coating them well with the melted marshmallow mixture.
- Using a buttered or silicone spatula, press the mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan which has been buttered or sprayed with non-stick spray or lined with wax paper.
- Cut into squares when the mixture cools.
