1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
2/3 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Nonstick cooking spray
1 large banana, sliced
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups frozen fat-free whipped dessert topping, thawed

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir together chocolate pieces, flour, sugar, dry milk powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt; make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together egg whites, buttermilk, and vanilla; add all at once to chocolate mixture. Stir until combined.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat an 8- to 9-inch springform pan or cast-iron skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Spread batter in pan; arrange banana slices on top. Lightly brush banana slices with lemon juice. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and brownie edge starts to pull away from side of pan. For springform pan, cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes; loosen side of pan and cool for 30 minutes before removing side of pan. For skillet, cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes before serving; serve warm. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, strawberries and whipped topping.
  • Grill Variation: Lightly coat an 8- to 9-inch cast-iron skillet with nonstick cooking spray. (Or nest two 8-inch square or round disposable foil pans together to make a double-thick layer; lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray.) Spoon batter into prepared skillet or foil pan. Arrange banana slices on top. Brush banana slices lightly with lemon juice.
  • Arrange medium coals around the edges of a grill. Test for medium-low heat in the center of the grill (not over coals). Place pan or skillet on grill rack in the center of the grill (not over coals). Cover and grill for 25 to 30 minutes or until brownie edges start to pull away from the side of the skillet or pan. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Adjust heat for indirect cooking. Place pan or skillet on grill rack. Cover and grill as above. Cool for 30 minutes; serve warm. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, strawberries and whipped topping.

All sugar is bad sugar, be it your regular refined sugar or the zero cal ones. These skinny brownies are easy to make and has zero butter, oil, flour or sugar. Fudgy texture and the rick chocolate taste is a perfect way to have your cake and eat it too!!!

2 tablespoons cocoa, powder/4 tbsp for that rich chocolate taste
3 medium size ripe bananas, roughly chopped
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven at 350°F.
  • In a microwave safe bowl melt the butter. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend to a smooth puree.
  • Grease or line a baking pan and pour the mixture, spread evenly. Bake for around 20 minutes or until done. Insert a skewer in the middle and if it comes out clean then your brownies are done.
  • Take out from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack and cut into squares before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container, refrigerate.
  • Not a fan of Peanut Butter? Substitute it with any nut butter of your choice.
  • These brownies are mild sweet in taste. It will definitely not taste like your gourmet cakes but works well when you are watching those calories!
  • You can add raisins or chopped prunes for that extra sweetness.

Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on box for cakelike brownies
1/3 cup salted caramel topping
3 ripe medium bananas, cut into 3/4-inch slices (about 2 1/2 cups)
Coarse sea salt, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F. Grease bottom of 8-inch cast-iron skillet with shortening. Make brownie batter as directed on box for cakelike brownies. Spread in skillet.
  • Bake 38 to 41 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool 30 minutes.
  • In medium microwavable bowl, mix caramel topping and bananas. Microwave uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until bananas are softened and warmed. Pour on top of brownie. Cut into wedges; sprinkle with sea salt.
