This recipe is from my "3 Dogs Bakery Cookbook". A cookbook especially for dogs. The recipes are natural and you could eat them yourself if you wanted to. My dogs love these.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup natural-style peanut butter
1 cup skim milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a bowl combine flour and baking powder.
  • In another bowl combine milk and peanut butter.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients together. Mix well.
  • Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface and knead.
  • Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • Cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.

These cookies are great for your favorite furry friend. Every dog I have given these to loves them. It is nice to use doggie type cookie cutters, like bones or fire hydrants.

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup unsalted natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Stir together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter and milk. Stir in the flour mixture until well blended. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.

2 lbs fresh plum tomatoes, chopped and seeded
3/4 cup demerara sugar
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried ancho chile powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon clove
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine all the ingredients except the lemon juice.
  • Place over medium-low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 hour 20 minutes, until thick and "jammy".
  • Stir in the lemon juice.
  • Spoon into 1 cup jars and can in a water bath for 30 minutes, or seal and keep refrigerated up to 2 weeks.

1/3 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Arrange bones in a large, shallow pan.
  • Prepare Mustard Marinade and pour over ribs; turn to coat.
  • Cover and let stand for about 2 hours.
  • Lift bones from marinade and drain briefly (reserve marinade).
  • Place on a lightly greased grill 4 to 6 inches above a solid bed of hot coals.
  • Cook, turning and basting frequently with marinade, until done to your liking; cut to test (20 to 25 minutes for medium-rare).

  • In a small bowl, combine dijon, red wine vinegar.
  • Beating constantly with a wire whisk, add olive oil a few drops at a time.
  • Then beat in garlic and rest of ingredients.
