TEXAS TRASH RECIPE

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Stir melted butter, celery salt, garlic salt, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and Tabasco sauce until well-combined.
• Place the Cheerios, Chex mixes, pretzels, and nuts in a baking pan in a single layer. Pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir until all pieces are coated.
• Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let it cool completely and serve. Store in an airtight container.

SLOW COOKER TEXAS TRASH PARTY MIX

Steps:

• 1. In a small pan melt butter and mix in Worcestershire Sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt. Stir to make sure all ingredients are dissolved.
• 2. Place remaining ingredients in a slow cooker and mix well. Slowly stir in butter mixture, coating all ingredients well.
• 3. Cook on low, stirring every 30 minutes for 3 hours.
• 4. *Note: You can add whatever ingredients you prefer. I do not like pretzels but that is one that many people add. You can put in different types of nuts or crackers, let your imagination run wild. If you like spicy food, hot sauce or cayenne pepper could also be added. Just make it to your liking.

• Preheat oven to 250.
• Mix the first 7 ingredients in a cup with a spout.
• Mix all dry ingredients in a baking pan.
• Pour the butter and seasonings over the dry mix, stirring until each piece is coated.
• Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
• Cool.
• Stir in an air tight container.
• Freezes well.

TEXAS TRASH PARTY MIX RECIPE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 275°. In a large bowl, combine the cereal, crackers, corn chips, and mixed nuts; set aside. Mix the butter and remaining 5 ingredients together. Pour over cereal mixture and toss well. Pour out onto large cookie sheets. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Keeps fresh in tightly closed plastic containers or heavy duty zipped bags.

• In bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
• Turn oven on to 225 degrees. Pour cereal mix into pan and coat well with melted mixture. Put UNCOVERED pan in oven and stir every 15 minutes for 2 hours. Pour on paper towels, let cool, then put into airtight container(s).
