SHRIMP IN A BAG

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 pieces parchment paper (12x20)
1 lb (45/55) Black Tiger Shrimp
2 tsp celery salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 small white onion
2 med stalks celery
1 small lemon
4 Tbsp water

Steps:

  • Place parchment paper on flat surface, fold down 1 inch on each side using long sides, so you now have 10x20. Next place 12 shrimp in center of paper in a wheel formation. Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. celery salt. Sprinkle with 1/4 tsp. black pepper.
  • Cut onion into 4 equal parts, place 1 divided part on top of shrimp. Cut celery stalks into 2 inch section and then in half lengthwise, place 2 pieces on top of shrimp next to onion pieces, 1 onion 1 celery and so forth. Cut lemon into wheels about 3/8-inch and then cut in half, place 1 piece on each side of onion/celery. Fold paper down from top, and up from bottom, fold corner to corner and fold under each end.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. If ready to cook place on cookie sheet. Open each baget slightly and place 1 Tbsp. water into each. Bake on middle rack for 8-10 minutes. (Can be prepared ahead of cooking for up to 2 days and held at 45 degrees F in your prefer.)

If you love shrimp and spices you will love this recipe- you all know who I am talking about-eat them out of the bag just like popcorn. I just omit the hot stuff in my bag and make it hot for the rest of the gang. You can make individual bags using your favorite spices and herbs- a great party idea- everyone make their own concoction! Anyway I thought you would like this recipe to try before the grilling season is over. It is a recipe that makes your taste buds stand up and salute! Ideas by me; Recipe is from Kingsford Charcoal.

1 pound(s) large shrimp,peeled and deveined with tails on(25-30 shrimp)
1 tablespoon(s) parsley flakes
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) chili powder,to taste
2 teaspoon(s) lemon pepper, to taste
2 teaspoon(s) onion powder, to taste
2 teaspoon(s) paprika, to taste
1/2 cup(s) barbecue sauce,your choice (i use kc masterpiece)

Steps:

  • Rinse shrimp and place in a gallon size plastic freezer bag. Add the barbecue sauce and marinate, refrigerated, for one hour.
  • In a brown paper bag or individual lunch sack, combine lemon pepper, parsley flakes, paprika, onion powder and chili powder. --- Note: Do not use a recycled bag in this recipe.
  • Remove shrimp from the marinade and discard marinade.Place shrimp on skewers. Grill the shrimp for 3 minutes,flip and grill another 2 minutes.
  • Remove shrimp from skewers and place the hot shrimp into the paper bag or bags and toss to coat with the seasoning. Eat like popcorn out of the bag. --- I love that you can have all kinds of ingredients for your guests to make their own paper spice bag. This works great with chicken wings or drummets too!
