6 ounces uncooked spiral pasta
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups chopped cooked chicken breast
2 cups torn fresh spinach
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the soy sauce, vinegar, oil, sugar, sesame seeds, salt and pepper; shake well. Drain pasta and rinse in cold water; place in a bowl. Add chicken and half of the dressing; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Set remaining dressing aside., Just before serving, add the spinach, onions, parsley and remaining dressing; toss to coat.

1 (12 ounce) package radiatore pasta
¼ cup sesame seeds
¼ cup salad oil
¾ cup soy sauce
½ cup white wine vinegar
3 ½ tablespoons sugar
2 cups cubed, cooked chicken
½ cup chopped fresh parsley
½ cup coarsely chopped green onion
4 cups torn fresh spinach leaves

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a small skillet over medium-low heat. Stir in sesame seeds and cook until golden brown. Remove from heat. Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar. Pour dressing into a sealable container, and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together pasta, cooked chicken, and 1 cup dressing (reserve remaining dressing). Cover salad, and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
  • Directly before serving, stir in parsley, green onions, and spinach. Toss with remaining dressing, if desired.

1 (16 ounce) package bow tie pasta
½ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup light soy sauce
⅓ cup rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 tablespoons white sugar
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 cups shredded, cooked chicken breast meat
⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
⅓ cup chopped green onion

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sesame seeds, and cook stirring frequently until lightly toasted. Remove from heat, and set aside.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain pasta, and rinse under cold water until cool. Transfer to a large bowl.
  • In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine vegetable oil, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, sesame seeds, ginger, and pepper. Shake well.
  • Pour sesame dressing over pasta, and toss to coat evenly. Gently mix in chicken, cilantro, and green onions.

As with any pasta dish, the longer you allow it to marinate in the refrigerator the better the flavor will be. The recipe doesn't call for salad to marinate in the refrigerator but I recommend it. 1/3 cup sesame oil (should smell slightly of sesame, light amber color)
1/3 cup light soy sauce

3 tablespoons coconut sugar crystals (or your sweetener of choice)
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 -5 cups shredded cabbage

1/3 cup chopped green onion

Steps:

20 oz boneless skinless chicken breast
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
2 teaspoons garlic chile sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons grated gingerroot
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup gluten-free low-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
Hot cooked basmati rice, if desired
1/4 cup sliced green onions (4 medium)
2 teaspoons sesame seed

Steps:

  • Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place chicken in slow cooker. In medium microwavable bowl, mix onion, sesame oil, garlic chili sauce, tomato paste and gingerroot. Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes; stirring occasionally, until onions are softened. Stir in honey and soy sauce.
  • Pour sauce over chicken in slow cooker. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours or until chicken is tender and cooked through. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water. Remove chicken to cutting board. Stir cornstarch mixture into sauce in slow cooker. Increase heat setting to High; cover. Cook 5 to 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Shred or cut chicken into bite-size pieces. When sauce is slightly thickened, return chicken to slow cooker, and stir into sauce. Serve over rice. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seed.
