Sesame Beef Stir Fry in a fantastic ginger soy sauces is a low-carb, 30 minute, one-dish meal that's better than takeout.

1/4 cup soy sauce (low salt or coconut aminos)
1 Tablespoon brown sugar (or low-carb alternative)
3 garlic cloves (minced or pressed)
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 Tablespoon canola oil (or avocado or vegetable oil)
1 pound top round beef (cut into strips for stir-fry)
2 cups carrots (cut into strips or sliced thin)
6 ounces snow peas (string removed)
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 cup green onions (sliced, white and green parts)
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Combine soy sauce (or coconut aminos,) sugar, garlic and ginger in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Heat canola oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add beef to skillet in batches and cook for about 3 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  • Remove beef from pan and set aside.
  • Add vegetables, white parts of green onion and sauce to skillet and cook over medium high heat for about 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp tender.
  • Return beef to skillet, stir in sesame oil and stir to coat with sauce.
  • Top with remaining green onions and sesame seeds.

1 cup peanut oil
1 pound sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
4 tablespoons cornstarch, divided
1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1 tablespoon Sriracha, optional
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 green onion, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Heat peanut oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. In a large bowl, combine steak and 2 tablespoons cornstarch, tossing to coat and letting the steak absorb the cornstarch. Add remaining 2 tablespoons cornstarch before adding to the stockpot. Working in batches, cook steak until golden and crisp, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. In a medium saucepan over medium high heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, orange juice, vinegar, garlic, ginger, Sriracha and sesame oil until slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in steak and gently toss to combine. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onion, if desired.

2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 green onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons hoisin sauce
¼ teaspoon chili garlic sauce
1 pound beef tenderloin, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
¼ cup teriyaki sauce
½ teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Whisk together the sesame oil, vinegar, green onion, garlic, hoisin sauce, and chile garlic sauce in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Add the beef tenderloin cubes and toss to evenly coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate at room temperature for 10 minutes, or in the refrigerator up to 8 hours.
  • Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Spread the beef cubes onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until cooked to your desired degree of doneness, about 8 minutes for medium-well. Transfer to a bowl and toss with teriyaki sauce. Skewer each piece of beef with a toothpick and place onto a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to serve.

6 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon pepper
6 green onions, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a large plastic resealable bag, combine the sugar, 4 tablespoons oil, soy sauce, pepper, onions, garlic and sesame seeds. Pour half into a small bowl; set aside. 1 lb flank steak
4 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 c soy sauce
2 Tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
2 Tbsp rice wine
1 tsp sugar
1 pkg frozen vegetable mix
cherry tomatoes, cooked
parsley sprigs

Steps:

  • 1. Partially freeze steak to firm.
  • 2. Slice steak diagonally, across the grain into 1/4\" strips.
  • 3. Combine green onions, soy sauce, sesame seeds, rice wine and sugar.
  • 4. Place beef strips and marinade in plastic bag or utility dish, stirring to coat.
  • 5. Close bag securely or cover dish.
  • 6. Stirring once, marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes.
  • 7. Remove beef from marinade; reserve marinade.
  • 8. Thread beef strips loosely (weaving back and forth) on eight (9 to 10\") bamboo skewers.
  • 9. Arrange skewers, not touching each other in a 1 1/2 quart rectangular microwave baking dish.
  • 10. Brush with reserved marinade; cover with waxed paper.
  • 11. Turning skewers over midway through cooking (bring inside to outside), microwave on high for 4 minutes.
  • 12. Rearrange skewers again and microwave on high 1 minute or until beef is slightly pink (do not overcook).
  • 13. Let stand, covered, 2 minutes.
  • 14. Serve skewered beef strips on bed of cooked oriental vegetables.
  • 15. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and parsley.
