Robins Baked Beans Recipes
ROBIN'S SWEET AND SPICY BLACK BEANS
These are famous in my family, and I always get asked for the recipe. Serve with rice or in tacos for a yummy and healthy meal!

Steps:
- Warm oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion, and cook about 2 minutes; then stir in garlic, and cook until onion is soft and translucent. Stir in tomatoes, cilantro, and sugar. Season with cayenne pepper, chili powder, cumin, and ground cinnamon. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir in black beans, and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer 1 hour or longer.

- Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients. Transfer to a greased 3-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or until bubbly.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine all ingredients except bacon and pour Into a 9x13 inch casserole dish, Lay bacon on top of bean mixture in a criss-cross pattern. Bake for 30 minutes or until bacon is done and beans are hot and bubbly. A great side dish for barbequed ribs or brisket.
