Easy and versatile. A nice alternative to bottled dressings for marinade! This one includes garlic, thyme and Italian-style seasonings.

⅓ cup water
⅓ cup vinegar
⅓ cup vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried Italian-style seasoning
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the water, vinegar, oil, garlic, thyme, Italian-style seasoning, poultry seasoning, rosemary, salt and ground black pepper. Mix well and apply to your favorite meat.

1 cup garlic clove, whole
1 cup soy sauce
2 ounces chipotle peppers
1 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Roast garlic at 350°F for 8 - 10 minutes or until just beginning to brown.
  • Place in blender with chipotle peppers, soy sauce and pepper. Blend on high until pureed and smooth.
  • With motor running, slowly add oil until smooth and well incorporated.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 good handfuls fresh rosemary, pounded
6 cloves garlic, crushed
10 lugs (10 tablespoons) olive oil
3 lemons, halved, juiced and skin squashed
Freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix everything together and massage on to your chosen meat. Leave the meat in the marinade until your ready to cook it;

I bought some marinated garlic recently and used it in some recipes... At first my wife was worried about the hole cloves of garlic in the dish but when she tried it she was hooked. I have since used it in several dishes replacing the garlic listed. I looked for some recipes here and didn't have any luck so I looked elsewhere and found this!

Number Of Ingredients 6

30 garlic cloves, peeled*
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup champagne vinegar
salt and pepper, to taste
4 sprigs fresh oregano or 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Steps:

  • Blanch the whole cloves of garlic in boiling water for 5 minutes; remove, and plunge into cold water. Drain and dry off the garlic.
  • Mix the remaining ingredients (except the fresh oregano sprigs) in a blender until emulsified. If using dried oregano toss it in with the oil and vinegar.
  • Put the cloves in a jar and cover with the marinade, tuck the sprigs of oregano into the jar. Cover and allow it to marinate for at least 5 days in the refrigerator. Serve as is for a snack or side dish or add to a green salad.
  • Don't be surprised if a couple of people polish off the whole batch in one sitting! I had tried several other marinated garlic recipes before this one and was not happy with the results. This one is perfect!
  • *NOTE: You can double the garlic cloves and will still have enough dressing to cover. The marinade makes a fantastic salad dressing after you use up the garlic.

Remove as much air from the bag as possible, seal closed and lay on work surface. Smash garlic with the smooth side of a meat mallet until completely pulverized. Open bag, add oil, vinegar, herbs, salt and pepper. Agitate to combine. Then add in poultry, meat, seafood or tofu. Seal bag shut.
  • For poultry and meat marinate for 30 minutes or up to 8 hours. For seafood, marinate 10 to 30 minutes. Drain and discard marinade. For tofu: marinate 30 minutes to 8 hours (and it is okay to use the marinade to brush over tofu while cooking.)
