Let your kids use their imagination and decorate their snowman with colorful vegetables and fruit. They may want to leave a few under the tree for Santa to nibble. -Sherry Al-Tamimi, Sugar Valley, Georgia

Yield 2-2/3 cups.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
Assorted decorations: small pitted ripe olives, pretzel sticks and sweet red and/or orange pepper
Assorted crackers and fresh vegetables

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the dressing mix, mustard and garlic; mix well. Shape into two balls, one slightly larger than the other. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours., Remove from the refrigerator 15 minutes before serving. On a serving plate, stack the small cheese ball on top of the larger ball to make a snowman. , Cut ends from olives to make small circles; attach to snowman for eyes and buttons. Insert pretzel sticks for arms. Cut top hat from pepper; place on top of snowman. Trim pepper to make a nose; insert into face. Serve with crackers and vegetables.

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 package (2-1/2 ounces) thinly sliced dried beef, chopped
1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 carton (8 ounces) spreadable cream cheese
2 fresh rosemary sprigs
5 dried cranberries, divided
2 pretzel sticks
1 small pitted ripe olives
1 small carrot
1 green onion
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the first four ingredients until blended. Shape into three balls, one 3-1/2 in., one 3 in and one 2-1/2 in. Place the 3-1/2-in. ball on an 8-in. serving plate; top with the 3-in. ball, then the small ball. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes., With a knife, smooth spreadable cream cheese over each ball; spread remaining cheese around base of snowman. Arrange rosemary sprigs on snowman's head, forming a wreath. Place three dried cranberries inside wreath. Insert pretzel sticks for arms., Cut two thin slices from olive and make two 1/8-in. circles. Place circles on head for eyes and slices on body for buttons. cut one cranberry in half widthwise; place in the center of olive buttons. Cut remaining cranberry in half lengthwise; shape one piece into a smile and place on snowman's face (discard remaining cranberry half)., Trim carrot to make a small nose; position on face. Cut top of green onion into a 1/4-in. strip; tie around neck for scarf. Serve with crackers.

This is a cute way to serve dip for your holiday party. The kids love it and it looks like you have skills that you don't have. Use frozen dough to make the snowman. Buy the ranch or spinach dip. Don't slave in the kitchen, enjoy the Holidays!!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 (1 lb) frozen bread dough, thawed
black icing or frosting
1 egg, lightly beaten
ranch dip or spinach dip
assorted fresh vegetable
cracker

Steps:

  • Combine both loaves of thawed bread.
  • PreHeat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a cookie sheet.
  • To make body, you will make 4 round balls from the dough. Make each ball a little bigger. (Just like a snowman.)
  • You will take the smallest ball and form a hat. The hat will be a ball and a small round cylindar for the brim. Place on greased baking sheet. (see picture).
  • For body, flatten balls and place on the greased baking sheet.
  • Brush dough with egg.
  • Cover and let rise for about 30-35 minutes or til doubled.
  • Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes til golden brown.
  • Remove to a wire rack to cool.
  • Cut an oval in in the lower ball of the snowman.
  • Hollow out bread leaving a shell.
  • Cut bread into cubes for dipping.
  • Let cool Completely.
  • Use icing to draw eyes, nose, mouth and buttons on body. The bread has to be cooled completely or the icing will melt.
  • Fill hole in belly with with dip.
  • Surround entire bunny with bread cubes, fresh veggies and crackers for dipping.
