This is another recipe from "The Big Book of Preserving the Harvest" by Carol W. Costenbader. It is supposed to calm the nerves and digestive tract. If you grow your own herbs and dry them, it is really good, but you can use storebought.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 cup dried lavender flowers
1/2 cup dried mint
1/2 cup dried rosemary leaves
1/4 cup dried chamomile
1/4 cup dried clove

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients and store in an airtight container away from heat, moisture and light.
  • Use 1 tsp of the mix per 6 oz. of boiling water, using a tea ball or teapot and strainer. Let steep for 5--8 minutes.

8 cups water
1 bag regular-size lipton green tea
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon american ginseng extract

Steps:

  • Heat water to boiling in a saucepan.
  • Remove saucepan from heat, put the tea bag into the water, then let the tea steep, covered, for one hour.
  • Place the sugar and honey in a large pitcher.
  • Pour the steeped tea into the pitcher, stirring until all the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
  • Chill before serving.
