I know there are hardcore Italian pizza eaters out there who vow to never eat a Hawaiian pizza. And although sweet, juicy pineapple and ham may not be traditional pizza, just one time, step outside the box and see what you're missing. It's good, really good, and quick and easy!

½ cup pizza sauce
4 small naan breads
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
⅓ cup pineapple tidbits, well drained
2 slices deli ham, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 thin slice red onion, peeled and cut into chunks

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Spread pizza sauce on naan breads and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Top with pineapple tidbits, ham, bacon, and red onion. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown and cheese has melted, about 10 minutes.

1 recipe homemade dough or store-bought
1 Tablespoon cornmeal
1/4 cup pizza sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
1/4 cup Canadian bacon (sliced)
1/2 cup pineapple tidbits
Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. On a lightly-floured surface, roll the dough into a large circle. Lightly sprinkle the cornmeal onto the bottom of your pizza pan and lay the dough on the pan.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly. Add the cheese, Canadian bacon, and pineapple.
  • Sprinkle with italian seasoning and bake for 12-14 minutes or until cheese is melted. Slice and serve.

1 slice whole grain bread
1 tablespoon salsa
2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
32 g ham (1 thin slice)
1/3 cup pineapple

Steps:

  • Spread salsa on bread.
  • Sprinkle half the cheese
  • Top with ham and then pineapple.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese.
  • Cook in toaster oven a few minutes until bottom crispy and toppings a little warmed.

From Taste of Home's "Cooking for 2", a good, quick & easy recipe with lots of possibilities. I used deli ham and a mix of cheddar, monteray jack and mozzarella cheeses. Recipe says it yields 2 servings but I managed to eat most of it myself! Enjoy!

2 flour tortillas (10 inches)
1 1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup pineapple tidbits, drained
3/4 cup diced cooked ham

Steps:

  • Place one tortilla on a baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
  • Top with second tortilla;
  • spread with pizza sauce.
  • Sprinkle with pineapple, ham and remaining cheese.
  • Bake at 375* for 15 minutes or until tortillas are crisp and cheese is melted.
