This comforting chicken dinner is a sure-fire family pleaser.

Yield Makes 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
16 ounces sour cream
3 teaspoons poppy seeds
Crushed buttery crackers, like Keebler Town House crackers (about 30)
1/4 cup butter, melted

Steps:

Mix together cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, poppy seeds, and sour cream. Lightly grease 11x7-inch baking dish. Spoon mixture into dish.
Pour melted butter over cracker crumbs and stir together. Sprinkle over casserole.
Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

This makes 4 casseroles. Yummy recipe that began as a fundraiser for my kids pre-school. Each parent was given the recipe and the disposable containers. After making and freezing, they were sold and were a major hit and great fundraiser.

Ingredients

4 lb chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cooked
32 oz sour cream
4 box prepared rice-a roni
4 pkg ritz crackers crumbled
2 c butter, melted
4 Tbsp poppyseeds
4 can(s) cream of celery soup

Steps:

1. cut cooked chicken into 1 1/2 inch pieces, or shread.
2. Prepare Rice a roni, and Divide into 4 casserole dishes or disposable pans.
3. combine soup, chicken and sour cream. Layer on top of Rice a Roni.
4. Combine cracker crumbs and butter, then divide between the casseroles and put on top. sprinkle with poppy seeds.
5. Either FREEZE , or Bake 350 covered, then uncover and cook 15 minutes more. MAKES 4 CASSEROLES

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, add cooked chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded parmesan cheese, and poppyseeds. Mix until incorporated. Spread along the bottom of a 2 quart casserole or 9x9 inch pan.
Crush ritz cracker and add melted butter and toss to coat in the butter. Sprinkle on top of the chicken mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
