- Marinate chicken slices in egg white, cornstarch, sherry and 1 teaspoons salt for 1 hour in refrigerator. Heat 2 Tblsp. oil in a pan until hot. Stir-fry pea pods and 1 teaspoons salt for 2 minutes; remove from pan; set aside. Heat 4 Tblsp. oil until hot. Stir-fry chicken slices 3 minutes or until chicken turns white. Add cooked pea pods, msg and water. Cook 2 more minutes. Serve hot. Nice with steamed rice.

Garnered from my friends on the rice cooker site. It looks so good and EASY! There's plenty of leaway to experiment with your preferences. Instead of the boullion I used beef broth.

Steps:
- Dissolve bouillon granules in boiling water, add soy sauce and cornstarch mixture, set aside.
- Drain bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and mushrooms.
- Preheat wok, on high and add oil.
- Stir fry garlic in hot oil for 30 seconds, being careful not to burn as this will produce a bitter flavor in the finished dish.
- Add bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, mushrooms and pea pods to wok and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Stir in bouillon mixture and continue cooking until thickened and bubbly.
- Remove to serving platter and garnish with cashew nuts if desired.
POLYNESIAN HAM AND RICE

- Mix reserved pineapple juice, the broth, rice, curry powder and red pepper in 10-inch skillet. Heat to boiling, stirring once or twice; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 minutes (do not lift cover or stir); remove from heat. Fluff rice lightly with fork. Cover and let steam 5 minutes.
- Cut each pea pod crosswise in half. Stir pea pods, pineapple and ham into rice mixture. Cook over medium heat about 2 minutes, stirring once or twice, until hot.

- Combine steak in crock pot with the consommé, soy sauce, ginger, and onion.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours. Turn control to high.
- Stir in cornstarch that has been dissolved in 2 tablespoons of cold water.
- Cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened.
- During last five minutes of cooking, add water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and pea pods.
- Serve over hot rice.
