Kids love funny faces! And they're sure to get a kick out of this one, made with ham, veggies and string cheese on pita bread.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 Tbsp. MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
1 pita bread
1 slice OSCAR MAYER Boiled Ham
1 baby carrot
1 tomato wedge
1 KRAFT or POLLY-O Mozzarella String Cheese

Steps:

  • Spread dressing onto pita bread.
  • Decorate with ham, carrot and tomato to resemble a face, using cut-up ham for the eyes, the carrot for the nose and tomato for the mouth.
  • Pull string cheese into thin strips; add to top of head for the hair.

Great little pizzas. Use this basic recipe and add, remove, modify with your favorite ingredients. Great for low-fat diets when you're craving some 'zaah!

2 whole wheat pita bread
30 g reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pasta sauce (Ragu, etc)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
50 g black forest ham (chopped)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Spread pasta sauce evenly over both pitas.
  • Sprinkle with onion, green pepper and ham.
  • Cover with cheese.
  • Place on a cookie sheet or baking stone and bake for 10 minutes (or until cheese starts to brown).

Instead of using traditional tortillas and salsa, these out-of-the-ordinary tacos feature crispy pita bread and ranch salad dressing. It's an original recipe from my mom.-Wendy Wilhelm, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Yield 4 tacos.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pound ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
4 whole pita breads (6 inches)
4 cups shredded lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
Ranch salad dressing

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; set aside. , In another skillet, heat 1/4 in. of oil. Fry the pita breads until puffed and golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Cut each bread in half. Fill with beef mixture, lettuce, tomatoes and onion. Drizzle with salad dressing.
