This refreshing cocktail is a great way to cool down on a hot summer day. Make sure to have it ready in the fridge ... you never know when guests will drop by!

Number Of Ingredients 5

Ingredients

2 cup(s) sugar
4 cup(s) fresh peppermint leaves, with stems
2 cup(s) lemon juice
2 cup(s) orange juice
2 cup(s) ginger ale

Steps:

In a large saucepan, combine sugar with 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add peppermint, remove pan from the heat, cover, and let the liquid steep for 1 hour.
In a large pitcher, combine the mint syrup, lemon juice, orange juice, and ginger ale.
Stir until well blended. Serve over crushed ice.
