1 package (8 ounces) breakfast sausage links
1 unbaked pie pastry (9 inches)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • In a skillet, brown sausages until no longer pink. Drain and cut into small pieces; place in the pie shell. Sprinkle with cheese. In a bowl, beat eggs; add cream and nutmeg. Pour over cheese. , Bake at 350° for 55-60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound ground pork sausage with sage
1 teaspoon baking powder
20 grape tomatoes, sliced in half and sprinkled with salt
6 large eggs
10 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (about 2 1/2 cups)
Salt and pepper
Two 9-inch unbaked frozen pie shells (set them out to thaw while preparing the other ingredients)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large skillet, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Then remove with a slotted spoon and reserve.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the baking powder, tomatoes and eggs together. Add the cooked sausage and the cheese to the egg mixture and stir together with a large spoon. Add salt and pepper and divide the mixture between both unbaked pie shells. Bake until the filling is set, about 30 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

1 refrigerated pie pastry (9-inch)
1/2 lb bulk hot Italian sausage
1/3 cup sweet onion (chopped)
1 medium pear, sliced
1/3 cup pecans (chopped and toasted)
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups half-and-half cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 ounces shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese (1 cup)
8 pecan halves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven at 350°F.
  • Line a 9-in. pie plate with pastry. Trim pastry to 1/2 inches beyond edge of pie plate; flute edges.
  • In a medium-hot iron skillet, toast pecans until fragrant ~ be careful not to burn them!.
  • In a large skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • Arrange pear slices in crust.
  • Top with sausage.
  • Sprinkle with pecans.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, salt, thyme and nutmeg.
  • Stir in cheese.
  • Pour mixture over sausage.
  • Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean and crust is golden brown. Cover edges with foil during the last 15 minutes to prevent over-browning, if necessary.
  • Garnish with pecan halves. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing. Yield: 8 servings.

2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
FILLING:
8 to 10 pork sausage links, halved
1 can (15 ounces) sliced peaches, drained
1/3 cup pancake syrup
Dash ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Preheat a 10-in. cast-iron skillet in a 425° oven. Meanwhile, in a large blender, combine the eggs, milk, flour, sugar and salt; cover and process until smooth., Add butter to hot skillet; return to oven until butter bubbles. Pour batter into skillet. Bake, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until pancake puffs and edges are browned and crisp., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the peaches, syrup and nutmeg. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for 7-10 minutes or until sausage and peaches are coated with syrup. Spoon into pancake. Serve immediately.

2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1/2 cup mild salsa
1/4 cup peach preserves
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 cups chopped fresh peeled peaches or frozen unsweetened sliced peaches, thawed and chopped

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, toss ribs with taco seasoning. Cover and refrigerate overnight., Place pork in a 3-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the salsa, preserves and barbecue sauce.
