PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
Bake Food Network Kitchen's easy recipe for Peanut Butter Cookies using a whole cup of smooth peanut butter.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a baking sheet. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Beat in egg to mixture. Mix in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Stir in salt, baking soda and flour until well combined. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and then roll in sugar. Place on baking sheet and flatten with fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Steps:
- 1. Place peanut butter & butter in mixer bowl. Attach bowl & flat beater to mixer. Turn to speed 6 and beat until mixture is smooth, about 1 minute. Stop & scrape bowl. Add sugars, egg & vanilla. Turn to speed 4 and beat about 1 minute. Stop & scrape bowl.
- 2. Turn to stir speed. Gradually add all remaining ingredients to sugar mixture and mix about 30 seconds. Turn speed to 2 and mix about 30 seconds.
- 3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets (I use parchment paper on the baking sheets)Press flat with fork in a criss-cross pattern to 1/4 inch thickness.
- 4. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from baking sheets immediately and cool on wire racks.
FROSTED PEANUT BUTTER FOOTBALL COOKIES

- Make cookie dough as directed on package. Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets; press each ball into ovals, 1/4-inch thick.
- Bake at 375° F 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown around edges. Cool; place cookies on cooling racks. Cool completely.
- In small bowl, stir chocolate frosting and peanut butter until blended. Spread frosting over cookies; pipe laces with white frosting.

- Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars together in a bowl; beat in eggs.
- In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into butter mixture. Put dough in refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls and put on baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern. Bake in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for about 10 minutes or until cookies begin to brown.
