- Combine the peaches and the lemon zest and juice in a large bowl. Add the maple syrup and stir well.
- Pour the peach mixture into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish and cover evenly with the crumb topping. Bake until crisp and browned on top, 35 to 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream.
PEACH-PECAN BARS
Finely ground pecans add nutty richness to the dough that doubles as the bottom crust and top crumble layer of these yummy bars. Cooking down fresh peaches for the filling concentrates their sweet floral flavor and adds more intensity than a jar of prepared jam.

PECAN BUTTER CRUNCH
Steps:
- Cook sugar, syrup and water until mixture thickens and bubbles (about 230 degrees). Add butter and pecans. Stir continuously and continue cooking until nuts begin to brown or start popping (290 degrees). Remove from heat. Add vanilla and soda and stir thoroughly. Pour quickly in several pieces on large buttered surface. Do not spread with knife or spoon. Allow to cool slightly. Stretch and pull with hands until very thin. (The thinner it is stretched, the more brittle it will be.) When cooled and hardened, break into small pieces. Store in airtight container.

BLUEBERRY PECAN CRUNCH CAKE
Topped with coarse Demerara sugar and chopped pecans, this might just be the crunchiest coffee cake you've ever made. It's also one of the easiest, as it's quickly whisked together in just one bowl. Soft, juicy blueberries dot the cinnamon-scented batter, making jammy pockets in the tender crumb. It will keep at room temperature for up to three days, though the topping does lose a little texture the longer it sits. But this cake is so good, its keeping qualities may be beside the point.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees and butter a 9-by-9-inch metal pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, butter, eggs, vanilla and salt until everything is well combined. Whisk in sugar. Add the dry ingredients in this order: baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon, whisking well in between additions. Then, whisk in the flour until just combined. Fold in blueberries.
- Using a spatula, scrape the batter into the pan, smoothing the top. Sprinkle with the nuts and Demerara sugar. Bake until the top is golden and puffed, and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 50 to 60 minutes. Transfer the cake to a rack, and let it cool in the pan.
NUTTY PEACH CRISP
A co-worker brought this easy, delicious dessert to work, and I couldn't resist asking for the recipe. A moist bottom layer made with canned peaches and a boxed cake mix is covered with a lovely golden topping of coconut and pecans. It tastes wonderful served warm with ice cream. -Nancy Carpenter Sidney, Montana

RENEE'S PECAN CRUNCH COOKIES
My grandmother baked the most wonderful cookies, cakes and breads. These she sold during the Depression to make money to help her family. This recipe is among one of my favorites, because I loved crunchy cookies and pecans. This recipe went into my hope chest in 1963.

PRALINE PECAN CRUNCH SNACK MIX
In our family, we call this "Crunchy-Crunchy." My mother-in-law makes a big batch of this every Christmas. We receive it in the big box of gifts and my youngest is very excited to see "Grandma's Crunchy-Crunchy" snack mix. I sometimes make it myself, but it's more special to receive it from Grandma, you know? It is great for gift giving in a nice air-tight plastic container. Great to put out for a sweet snack, any time of the year! Note: I have added a little salt to the recipe as a personal preference. If you want to leave it out as the original recipe calls for, you can do so. Enjoy!
