PEACHY CUSTARD DESSERT
Fresh peaches 'n cream spiced with cinnamon top an easy pat-in-the-pan pastry in this dessert that is served warm. It's just peachy!

Steps:
- Heat oven to 400°F. Mix flour, 2 tablepoons sugar, the salt and baking powder in medium bowl. Cut in butter, using pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives, until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Pat mixture firmly and evenly in bottom and halfway up sides of ungreased square pan, 8x8x2 inches.
- Spread peaches in crust in pan. Mix 1/3 cup sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over peaches. Bake 15 minutes.
- Beat egg yolks and whipping cream until well blended; pour over peaches. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until custard is set and edges are light brown. Serve warm. Store covered in refrigerator.

This is a great recipe I came up with when our white peach tree yielded sooo many peaches I had to figure out many ways to use them.... Even my kids love this one -- they will eat it all day....

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup butter. Beat in sour cream, vanilla, and eggs. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Spread 1/2 the batter into the baking pan. Layer with peaches, and top with remaining batter.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, pecans, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°; grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Stir together all filling ingredients in medium bowl and set aside for now.
- Combine all topping ingredients in medium bowl until it resembles coarse crumbs; set aside.
- Combine the sugar and 1 cup butter in a large mixer bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy (2-3 minutes).
- Add eggs, the sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (1 or 2 minutes).
- Add all the remaining coffee cake ingredients.
- Continue beating and scraping the bowl often, until smooth (1-2 minutes).
- Spread half the batter into pan.
- Spread peach filling over batter.
- Drop spoonfuls of remaining batter over filling (do not spread).
- Sprinkle with topping.
- Bake 60-70 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean.
- Cool 15 minutes.
- Stir together powdered sugar and enough milk in small bowl for glazing consistency.
- Drizzle over the cooled coffee cake.

I searched all through zaar and I couldn't find this recipe, I actually had to call up my mother and get this from her. My mum used to make this when we were kids and it is total comfort food to me. It is awesome warm or cold.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 deg F.
- Mix flour, salt and butter until crumbly and press into the bottom and partway up the sides of a 9 x 13 pan.
- Drain peaches reserving juice and arrange over crust evenly.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over peaches then bake for 20 minutes
- Combine the reserved juice with the evaporated milk and eggs and pour over the peaches then bake for another 30 mins until custard is set.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour a 9-inch springform pan. Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar in a medium saucepan over medium, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Keep warm over low while preparing batter.
- Place butter and remaining 11/2 cups sugar in the bowl of an electric stand mixer. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Add dry ingredients to mixer bowl alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat well after each addition.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared springform pan and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare streusel topping by combining flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter in a medium bowl. Cut butter into dry ingredients using a pastry cutter until butter is pea-sized and mixture is very crumbly. Stir in half of the nuts. Sprinkle topping over coffeecake, then sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup nuts. Continue baking until a pick inserted in the center of cake comes out clean, about 25 more minutes. Remove from oven and let cool in pan 30 minutes. Transfer cake to a serving platter to serve warm, or to a wire rack to cool completely.
