I taught my nieces to make these easy, cheesy oven-baked potatoes. When the whole family comes over, we triple the recipe-and have no leftovers. -Ann Brown, Niles, MI

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 large potatoes (about 2-1/2 pounds)
1/4 cup olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, divided
3/4 cup grated Parmesan and Romano cheese blend, divided
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Cut each potato lengthwise into eight wedges; place in a large bowl. Add oil, garlic, thyme and 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt; toss to coat., With a slotted spoon, transfer potatoes to two greased baking sheets. Set oil mixture aside., Roast 30 minutes, turning once. Return potatoes to oil mixture. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese and parsley; toss to coat. Return potatoes to baking sheets. Roast 10-15 minutes longer or until golden brown and tender. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and seasoned salt.

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
4 medium baking potatoes (about 8 ounces each)
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Mix first 5 ingredients., Cut each potato lengthwise into 8 wedges; place in a parchment-lined 15x10x1-in. pan. Spritz with cooking spray; sprinkle with cheese mixture. Bake until tender, about 30 minutes.

4 large russet potatoes, washed and drained
1/4 c vegetable oil
2/3 c grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
4 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried thyme, crushed

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375
  • 2. Cut each potato lengthwise into 6 wedges. Put in a large bowl, add oil and stir til potatoes are well coated.
  • 3. In small bowl, mix Parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder and thyme. Sprinkle mixture on potatoes and stir til potatoes are well coated.
  • 4. Spread potatoes on a greased baking sheet and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or til tender and golden brown. Turn potatoes once during baking. Serves 4 to 6

Thyme and parmesan cheese kicks up the flavor of these baked potato wedges. I have recently started using 1/2 thyme, and 1/2 rosemary as my herbs, and I think it tastes even better than with just thyme. Goes great with almost any meal and easy to prepare.

4 medium potatoes, washed and peeled
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon dried thyme, crushed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Cut potatoes lengthwise into fourths, then cut pieces lengthwise again (so that potatoes are cut into eighths).
  • Coat bottom of a large casserole dish or baking sheet with olive oil.
  • Add potato wedges to baking dish and toss to coat in oil.
  • Sprinkle potatoes with thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt and pepper, and toss potatoes again to coat with seasonings.
  • Bake for about 1 hour, until potatoes are cooked and beginning to brown.
  • Remove from oven and top with parmesan, return to oven for about 2 minutes to melt cheese.
  • Remove from oven and serve.
