Categories     Drink

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/4 cup juice ((1-2 large blood oranges))
12 oz (1 1/2 cups) sparkling water
1-2 tbsp simple syrup

Steps:

  • Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small sauce pan. Heat on low until sugar is dissolved. Juice your oranges and strain if you don't like a bit of pulp. Pour juice in cup and add mineral water. Be warned, you might get some frothing. Add simple syrup as desired.

ORANGE ITALIAN SODA WITH A TROPICAL ATTITUDE

Orange Italian Soda With a Tropical Attitude image

A tropical take on an Italian favorite. It uses coconut milk instead of half and half. I use sugar-free Torani's syrups, but any brand coffee syrup will work. This is good with lime flavor also.

ITALIAN SODAS

Italian Sodas image

Having an Italian themed dinner party? Play some Italian music, stick some candles in old wine bottles, and let your guests make their own Italian sodas. My kids really like these. I buy my Torani Syrup at a store called World Market - they have many flavors and even sugar-free types. The flavor combinations are endless. Under directions I've listed a few of our favorite flavor combinations. Also, Torani syrup is so versatile for other things; drizzle some on a dessert plate, over cheesecake, lace a bowl of ice cream, or mix with some whipping cream for a new flavor. Mix some strawberry flavor with lemonade. Ok, I'll stop now.
