Ooey Gooey Chocolate Mocha Cake Recipes
CHOCOLATE GOOEY BUTTER CAKE
My chocolate spin on St. Louis gooey butter cake. Dust top with powdered sugar if you like.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Mix cake mix, butter, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Pat into the prepared pan.
- Mix cream cheese, cocoa powder, and remaining eggs together in another bowl with an electric mixer. Beat in powdered sugar slowly. Pour over cake layer in the pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Let cool.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Crust: Stir 1 egg, 1/2 c melted butter and cake mix until combined. Press evenly into bottom of pan. Bake 15 minutes Topping: Beat cram cheese and eggs until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar until smooth. Add meltled butter, chocolate topping, coffee and vanilla. Beat on low until combined. Pour over baked crust. Bake 35 minutes. Center will not appear set. Cool and serve with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate fudge topping. I serve cake warm

- In a medium bowl, stir together 1 egg and 1/2 cup melted butter. Stir in dry cake mix until combined (You may need to work the mixture together by hand, as it will be thick). Press evenly into the bottom of a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beating on low speed after each addition just until combined. Gradually add 16 ounces powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating on low speed until smooth. Slowly add 1/2 cup melted butter, the chocolate topping, coffee and vanilla, continuing to beat on low speed until just combined. Pour batter over baked cake crust.
- Bake for 35 minutes more (center will not appear to be set). Cool completely in pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars. If you like, sprinkle with additional powdered sugar. Cut into bars.
