FRUITY OATMEAL DOG TREATS

Steps:

• Preheat your oven to 350F.
• Mash the carrots with the banana, then add applesauce and water.
• Fold in the oats and gradually add the flour until a dough is formed.
• Lightly sprinkle a counter top with some whole wheat flour and roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick.
• Use a small biscuit cutter (or any cutter of your choice!) and place treats on a lightly-sprayed cookie sheet.
• Bake for 25 minutes, and then turn off the oven and let the treats stay inside for an additional 2-3 hours. This will dehydrate them further, creating a chewy (or crunchy, depending on how long you let them dehydrate) treat with a longer shelf life!

APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL DOG TREATS

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Place two cups of the quick oats into a blender and pulse four or five times until it's more like flour. Pour into a mixing bowl.
• Add the remaining 1/2 cup of quick oats, cinnamon applesauce, and eggs together until well combined. It will be very wet.
• Place the dog mold on the parchment-lined baking sheet and scoop batter into the mold evenly while also flattening down with the back of a small spoon.
• Repeat with the remaining batter.
• Side Note: You can also do spoonfuls of batter a couple of inches apart to make cookies.
• Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 22-25 minutes or until golden and set.
• Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on cooling racks.
• Store in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Enjoy.

APPLE OATMEAL COOKIES I

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar. Beat in the eggs until well blended. Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; stir into the sugar mixture until well blended. Fold in the walnuts, oats and apples. Drop dough by spoonfuls about 2 inches onto ungreased cookie sheets.
• Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cool on wire racks.

OATMEAL APPLE COOKIES (FOR DOGS)

Steps:

• Heat oven to 325°F.
• Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly until combined to form dough.
• Roll out dough on floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
• Using a cookie cutter, cut into shapes (bone shape suggested) until all the dough has been used.
• Place cookies on ungreased foil (or parchment paper) lined baking sheets. Bake 30-35 minutes.

PUMPKIN-APPLE DOG TREATS

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Place 4 cups oatmeal in the bowl of a food processor; pulse until finely ground. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
• Stir in grated apple. Mix in canned pumpkin and egg until well combined; mixture will be thick and slightly sticky.
• Roll dough on a surface sprinkled with remaining 1/4 cup oats to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut shapes with a cookie cutter and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
• Bake in the preheated oven until crisp and golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
