DELICIOUS APPLE CAKE
My husband introduced me to this rich, moist apple cake. It makes a delightful fall treat, especially with vanilla ice cream! I like to use a combination of Granny Smith and Braeburn apples. Refrigerate any leftovers.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk sugar into vegetable oil in a mixing bowl. Beat eggs, vanilla extract, salt, flour, and baking soda into the sugar mixture, one ingredient at a time, in that order. Fold apple slices into the batter; pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes.

It's a really good European pastry. Now that fall is coming,apples are everywhere. So I found my Mom's delicious recipe for an apple cake. I remember when I was little girl and she would make it for me during this season.You don't need to use a mixer.Just combine the dry ingredients and sprinkle with apples and butter. A delicious moist,crunchy topped cake comes out. It really is worth making.

Steps:
- First, mix 4 ingredients very well. Divide into 3 equal parts.
- Preheat oven to 375 F.Butter and spread bread crumbs or flour onto a 9 inch spring form pan.
- Pour the first part of the dry ingredients on the bottom. Put the apples on top and sprinkle with cinnamon.Pour the second part of dry ingredients and again put the apples on top and sprinkle with cinnamon. Then do the third part.
- Sprinkle with shredded cold butter and brown sugar. Put the pie on top of a cookie pan, just in case some juice leaks while baking.
- Bake for 60 minutes.Enjoy!
