Melt the chocolate, butter and golden syrup together in a large heavy bottomed saucepan over a low heat.
Once the mixture has melted and looks smooth, remove from the heat and leave for a minute or two (if the chocolate mixture is too hot, the Maltesers will melt) before tipping in the crushed biscuits and Maltesers, stirring well to combine.
Pour the Malteser studded mixture into the lined tin. Smooth out with a rubber spatula and place in the fridge to firm up for one hour.

Melt the milk chocolate, syrup and butter together. You can either do this in a microwave in short bursts or in a saucepan on the hob. Just make sure to stir it regularly and don't let the chocolate burn.
Once the mixture is melted, combine it with the crushed biscuits and maltesers and mix together. Make sure it is fully combined.
