2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
4 ounces goat cheese, softened
3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
2 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
½ clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 cup whole almonds, or as needed
3 large fresh rosemary sprigs

Steps:

  • Stir cream cheese, goat cheese, parsley, tarragon, thyme, garlic, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper together in a bowl until smooth and well-mixed.
  • Turn cheese mixture out onto a serving platter and form into a tapered oval shape to resemble a pine cone.
  • Starting at the tapered end, press almonds into the cheese cone so that the tip of the almond is facing out and down, and cheese cone is completely covered with almonds and resembles a pine cone. Place rosemary sprigs at the top to resemble pine needles.

This Taco Cheese Ball could not be easier to make! It is loaded with Mexican cheese and taco seasoning for a simple and addictive appetizer recipe that's perfect for parties and beyond!

2 cups Mexican cheese (shredded)
16 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1 ½ tablespoon taco seasoning
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (finely minced)
½ cup pecans (chopped)

Steps:

  • Add Mexican cheese to a food processor and pulse until crumbly.
  • Add the Mexican cheese, cream cheese, and taco seasoning to a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer until fully combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Cover the mixture and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Mix together the minced cilantro and the chopped pecans in a medium bowl. Form the cheese mixture into a ball and roll it in the nut mixture until evenly coated. Plate and serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

This Mexican Cheese Ball is great for holiday get-togethers and can easily be made ahead of time!

2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
1 (4-oz) can of Old El Paso™ diced green chiles, drained
1 (1-oz) package Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup sliced green onions (about 2 green onions)
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 cup crushed tortilla chips (about 3 cups whole)
Tortillas chips and sliced red and green bell pepper for serving

Steps:

  • In a food processor, add the cream cheese, shredded cheese, diced green chilies, taco seasoning, green onions, and lime juice. Pulse well until ingredients are completely combined.
  • Line a bowl with plastic wrap. Spoon the mixture on top of the plastic wrap and wrap completely forming a ball.
  • Chill in the fridge (or the freezer for faster chilling) for at least an hour until ball is firm.
  • In a food processor, crush chips until fine.
  • Unroll ball from plastic wrap and roll in the crushed chips. Cut slices with a knife and serve with chips and bell peppers.

1 pkg. (7 oz.) KRAFT Mexican Style 2% Milk Finely Shredded Four Cheese
2 Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
2 Tbsp. canned chopped green chiles
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Steps:

  • Process first 3 ingredients in food processor until blended. Stir in chiles.
  • Shape into 4-inch oval on sheet of waxed paper to resemble pinecone. Insert nuts in rows to completely cover cream cheese mixture. Transfer to serving plate.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours. Let stand at room temperature 15 min. before serving to soften slightly.

1 1/4 cups whole natural almonds
1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese
1/2 cup real mayonnaise
3 crispy cooked bacon slices, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
Sprigs, for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  • Place and spread all the almonds on a cookie sheet or in a shallow pan, pushing the almonds around until they turn color, about 20 minutes.
  • Mix together the cream cheese and the mayonnaise. Add the bacon, salt and pepper, dill, and onion. Chill overnight.
  • On a serving platter, make 2 pine cone shapes with the cheese. Begin to press the almonds at a slight angle into the cheese, starting at the narrow end of the pine cone shape.
  • Do this in rows, continuing to overlap rows until all the cheese is covered. Garnish with fake sprigs, or real ones, or with rosemary.
  • Serve at room temperature and spread on crackers.

There are so many cheese ball recipes and so many Mexican dip recipes, but I'd never seen a Mexican cheese ball, so I had to try it. DEEEElish! It's great served with tortilla chips or those extra big Scoops corn chips.

2/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 (8 ounce) blocks cream cheese, softened
4 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup taco seasoning
1/4 cup picante sauce (I like Pace.)

Steps:

  • NOTE: Toasting the pecans is reflected in the PREP time.
  • Toast the pecans at 275 degrees for 20-30 min - do not burn. Stir together nuts with butter and salt and set aside to cool.
  • In a food processor, blend remaining ingredients until thoroughly combined. Shape into a ball and roll in the cooled pecans.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serve with the tortilla or corn chips.

I found this recipe in Kraft's 'What's Cooking' magazine. It is very impressive looking, so I decided I had to try it.

1 (250 g) package cream cheese, softened (light works fine)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (the recipe calls for tex mex cheese, but I used medium cheddar, and I'm sure swiss would work well,)
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons chopped canned green chilies
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, and Dijon mustard in a blender or food processor until well blended.
  • Stir in green chilies.
  • Place in freezer for 20 minutes so that it is easier to handle and shape.
  • Remove from freezer and place on wax paper.
  • Shape into what resembles a pinecone.
  • Stick the almonds into the cheese ball in rows that completely cover the cheese ball.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Let the cheese ball stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with crackers.
