7 -8 medium potatoes (5 lb.)
1 teaspoon salt
1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
1/2 cup margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

Peel and cut the potatoes into slices or large cubes.
Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the potatoes.
Add 1 teaspoon salt; add the potatoes; bring to a boil and boil gently for about 30 minutes, until very tender.
Drain the potatoes well add the remaining ingredients.
Mix with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
