SIMPLE CHILI

SIMPLE CHILI image

Our simple chili recipe may come together quickly, but it certainly doesn't skimp on flavor! Made with ground beef, beans and the help of McCormick® Chili Seasoning, this beef chili recipe comes together in just under 30 minutes. It's the perfect comfort food to enjoy on Game Day, during the chilly fall and winter months or anytime you're looking to whip up an easy weeknight dinner. While delicious as is, we love to spruce up chili with flavorful toppings like chopped green onions, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced avocados and freshly squeezed lime. Looking to kick up the heat a notch? You can't go wrong drizzling with your favorite hot sauce. Enjoy a bowl of this mouthwatering chili by the spoonful, or with tortilla chips, homemade bruschetta or Texas toast. You can even add chili to your next summer barbecue spread to top grilled sausages for an elevated version of chili dogs. For an equally delicious alternative to beef chili, check out our chicken chili recipe and easy beef stew recipe.

MCCORMICK'S "ORIGINAL" CHILI SEASONING - CHILI

Mccormick's

This recipe is from the backside of the McCormick's Original Chili Seasoning packet. My mom made this chili and it's always been my favorite. It doubles and triples easily if you're so inclined. If you're watching your fat/calories, this makes just as well w/ ultra-low fat ground beef, but we don't like it as well w/ ultra-low fat chicken or turkey. I'm pretty sensitive to heat in food, and this is not what I would consider a hot spicy chili. Makes great left overs. Freezes very well. Doubling Tips:. Double everything BUT the meat for a lower cost (less meat) alternative works well (double seasoning, beans, tomatoes). Double everything including the meat, this also works well. Tripling Tips:. For some reason, we've found that if you want to triple this recipe use caution. We end up going about 3.5 times on the tomatoes/tomato sauce to get the balance right. Suggestion would be to have the can of tomatoes ready to go and add to taste.
