Try this super easy maple glazed salmon recipe for salmon like you have never tasted, sweet but with a hint of chilli and soy. Perfect for a quick meal.

4 skinned salmon fillets
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Lay salmon fillets on a piece of paper towel and dry carefully. Check fish over for any bones. Remove with tweezers if you find any. Lay fillets side by side in a glass or ceramic dish.
  • Combine maple syrup, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger and mix thoroughly. Add chile flakes and stir again.
  • Pour marinade over salmon. Cover and let marinate for 20 minutes at room temperature. Turn after 10 minutes, so all sides of fillets come into contact with marinade.
  • Heat a griddle or cast-iron frying pan over high and add oil. Heat until hot but not smoking.
  • Take fillets one at a time from marinade and carefully transfer to pan. Cook 2 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium and cook fillets for 4 minutes.
  • Then flip over and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Remove from pan and keep warm.
  • While salmon is cooking, transfer marinade to a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce to create a thick, syrupy sauce, then strain.

This is the best and most delicious salmon recipe, and very easy to prepare. I love maple in everything and put this together one night. My husband totally loved it; he did not like salmon that much until he had this.

¼ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound salmon

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
  • Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes, turning once.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon uncovered 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.

Found this recipe in All*You Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds simple and delicious. I would use fresh garlic as I always have that around instead of garlic powder.

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
24 ounces salmon fillets
salt
chopped chives

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick foil. In a small bowl, stir together maple syrup, mustard and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Place salmon, skin side down, on lined baking sheet; sprinkle lightly with salt and brush with maple syrup mixture. Bake until fish is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Top with chopped chives or green onions.

3 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch, dissolved in
1 tablespoon water
4 salmon fillets
1 scallion, sliced thin (white part plus about 2-3 inches of the green)
1 tablespoon toasted sliced almonds (optional)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl whisk together the syrup through cornstarch solution until smooth.
  • Place the fillets skin-side-down in a shallow baking pan.
  • Pour the syrup mixture over the salmon.
  • Bake about 15-18 minutes at 450°F until the fish flakes easily; baste with glaze halfway through cooking.
  • Sprinkle with scallion and almonds before serving.

3/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 salmon fillet (2 pounds)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Pour 1/2 cup into a large resealable plastic bag; add the salmon. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for up to 2 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade. , Drain and discard marinade. Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack.
